Honestly, this and cutting cards are my favourite tales from the crypt episodes They don’t have a lot of spooky or paranormal going on, but they have that theme that is two men that have competition together whether they like it or not truly an embodiment of living in the way we die you play your cards like a man win lose or draw or you die whimpering and I prefer to go out with my boots on win lose or draw
This was filmed in my hometown. St Cloud MN, the Mendota bridge they reference is over 80 miles away from where they claim it ts. Also the starting and finishing destinations of the race could easily been made doing following all traffic laws. I'm guessing it was better for people who don't know the actual town. Knowing just ruined the illusion.

Connery's Bond went from a highly effective and very fit killer to a paunchy 007 playing it for laughs in nine years. The contrast between him in Dr No and Diamonds Are Forever is huge.
Absolutely. Diamonds are forever is laughable. Dr. No and From Russia With Love is by far Connery's best performances as Bond. Goldfinger, Thunderball and You Only Live Twice are still great classic movies, but you can clearly see the slow decline from his serious tone
