I am a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, wife, and mother. I have a pretty busy life as I have many interests, but I love every minute of it! I am also a licensed Real Estate Agent in Georgia.
That's a great suggestion and thank you for your kind words! Those two cosmetics companies came to mind, but I chose to mention some brands that are were/are budget-friendly and that are still available today. Max Factor's pan stick makeup, Coty's Airspun loose powder, and Revlon lipstick are all products that were sold back then that can still be purchased today. I know Elizabeth Arden made cosmetics back then but I am not that familiar with her products. And I think L'Oréal acquired Helena Rubinstein's cosmetics.
I was thinking about yoyor Xhannel just the other day and got happy when you showed up on my feed. I was a little confused at first because I saw Mary Kay and thought you did Avon. 😂 Now it makes sense. Good luck in yoor endeavors - sounds like a positive change. ❤️
1930- 50 and 1980 for me. Of course you look gorgeous in all eras! Youve got the classic feminine look that really shines with shorter hair. Say Ingrid Bergman. So pretty 😍 The 80's look was great as well. That particular hairstyle was so full and luxurious but boy HIGH Maintenance!
My favorite shampoo of all times. The scent was awesome and left your hair squeaky clean. Trying to find a recipe for essential oils to make that scent.
Aren't you clever!!! What a fun idea!!! I love that Creme blush is fantastic for mature skin still today too! I would cheat with a liner too!! I can't stand to not use one! Wow amazing vintage Avon fragrances too! Very fun!!
There was(or is) a RU-vid channel that uploaded years ago a 1962 Avon film that was similar to this Avon film that also was a documentary on perfume. 🙂
I have two bottles lol. There is something about that fragrance that is just so lovely. My oldest son bought me chanel Coco mademoiselle to replace my white diamonds because my kids say it stinks but nope i like my white diamonds 😅
I have Estee Lauder pleasures it was a blind buy i don't like it much. I want to get the one in the rectangular bottle i cant remember the name but its kinda pricey. Some gardenia scent i believe
So pretty! Back when I was young my grandma always ordered from Avon and I remember I had the bird nest ring with the blue eggs in it and the lady bug necklace and earrings and the cat with the blue skirt perfume all from Avon. My grandmas favorite was odyssey and my aunt loved sweet honesty.
When I look at old pics of my grandma and her daughters they all had on clothes like those so stylish and beautiful. This song makes me sad for some reason.
Nothing like a well dressed man ❤ my son is 17 and couldn't careless about clothes but I am going to order him some suits like those because he wants to go to college for IT so he will need to look business like not the joggers and sneakers he prefers.
Spring & Summer,1976.The Halter,Tube,& Bandeau Tops were in Fashion at the time. Also,Sleeveless Shells (They have Cuffs at the Shoulders & Neck & came in Horizontal Stripes,Among it Solids & White & Multicolors, etc).
It doesn't matter if it didn't break through..a lot of ladies loved it, seeing how they names their child after it. Oh how I wish I could get the original
It's very strong fragrance. It's very heavy, sweet and spicy. Some people don't like it for that reason and they think it's dated. I think it's more of a fall/winter fragrance because of it's heaviness and spiciness. It does linger for a long time. I would go lightly with this. I suggest trying it at a department store like Macy's or Nordstrom, etc. You may have to ask to sample it because sometimes it might not be out on display. Spray it on a test strip and keep it for few days. It is beautiful after it's dried down and if you don't overspray. It will smell lighter and more floral after it sits for awhile (in my opinion). It's not as expensive as some other department fragrances and it LASTS. If you love it, you'll get a lot for your buck.
By the way..Avon's Timeless is similar to Youth Dew, but still has its own distinct personality. It is also a strong sweet/spicy Oriental fragrance that lasts, but it's not quite as strong as Youth Dew, and for some people this is a good thing. It's pretty after it dries down. These kids of fragrances should be tested. Please don't blind buy because you might not like them. That's why I say it's a 'polarizing subject.' You will either love them or hate them.
