China is so idiot. They weaponized their country to make an enemy. To bully friendly neighbour country instead of stabilising the relationship with them. Land grabbing and water territorial grabbing is their mission now in the world to create enemies.
Many Americans take our Navy for granted until they are needed. Would you want to sail off to war in your 1975 Chevy? And the weird thing is, when these things go for their mid-life refurb, many of the guys who built her are long since retired. And to the guy that says they are just a "target".... the Navy knows this very well. That is why they have an entire task force devoted to preventing attack, as well as an undersea force as well. That is not to say they are invincible, but an enemy has to be very dedicated and well equipped to get to one. And after I just replaced my Black and Decker trimmer line with a Chinese knock off set of reels and the line autofeed stopped working, I can only wonder just how reliable the Chinese military's equipment will be when it needs to be maintained and repaired. They can't even meet the interchangability requirements of a F'ing WEEDEATER. I found the same problem with Chinese knock-off Braun razor head replacements. The blades on it were dull RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.
