My favorite is when I’m trolling at a leisurely 1.7 MPH about 50 feet from shore and I have one of these things decide they want to go between me and the shore. Real fucking cool.
That’s bad seamanship. I don’t like a heard of 250hp fishing boats blasting next to my dock at 6AM, snagging a hook, on my dock, then pulling their legs up a charging off at 50mph to scream to their next secret spot ahead of the rest of the mob. It takes all kinds to successfully share public waterways.
You need ballast to make a wave big and have push. This is pretty evident by most all boats having ks of lbs of ballast. A wake shaper will make your wave look better but without the boat being weighted it won’t have much of an effect
this looks like BS the wake shapes do help but for the best experience especially if your hull doesn't sit that deep then just buy bags and stick them in the engine bay
@@hackxy1165 I mean, displacement and surf assist/wake shapers is all you need for surfing. The rest are just electronic bells and whistles... And now superchargers.
100% works so much better than your average shaper. My friend bought the maverick for his 06 22ssv he had a swell suck gate boat had a pretty good wave. We done a back to back comparison. The wave had a lot more push and was about 1.5 feet Longer.. this system works
