He sounds like hes off a xanx, great video btw im having this issue with 97 mustang gt. Warmed it up and put the top and all windows down and now wont crank and flashes "theft theft theft"
I would like to thank the owner of the video very much, because this problem occurred in my Mustang 99 car, and because of this video, the problem was fixed without loss ❤️
You know if you stick key in roll window down half way leave key in for ten mins. Come back the theft light will be off and you will be able to start it and by doing that you reset the system! Won't have to take apart anything or all the extra stuff
I gave up on my mustang and bashed it to death with a sledge hammer. It was a shitty car, not worth much, but it was all I had. Nothing ever goes right anymore. Time to pack it in. Goodbye.
Have a quetion? Do you have to take it to a ford dealer to get it reprogrammed to match your PATS inside the key tho ? Or is it just based off the model of the viechle ? I tought anything having to do with replacing PATS in general would require a trip to the ford dealer so it can match the rest of the Anti Theft system and reprogramming it ? I could be wrong tho.
Hey to add to diagnosing which component is giving issues to the PATS. When you turn the key on the theft light will fast flash for around 40 seconds. Then it will flash a 2 digit code to you. Currently researching a code 12 on an expedition
Hello I viewed your video and it the same problem I’m having with my 2004 40th anniversary mustang . Does it make a difference on transceiver the look the same one is 3R3T and another is wYIT?
going to buy this part now! thanks so much. i have the exact same problem. Worked intermittently and i had to get the car towed, and of course the car started right up soon as i got home.
So what did you find? I have exactly the same thing going on with cyl. 1 on a 2004 4.7 jeep. Including the noise while compression testing. I have an oscilloscope and after swapping plugs, coils and injectors I verified that the coil makes spark while the engine is running and that the injector is getting signal to open same as the others do. When the compression looked good I had the same idea with a exhaust valve issue. Did you find a broken rocker or cam lobe worn completely down? Im about to pull the valve cover off next thanks
I have a Mazda b3000 2003 and the 'anti theft' has been blinking on the accessory dash since I got the truck. The truck still runs. The anti theft light stays on blinking whether truck is on or off. Could it be a faulty transponder causing the transceiver to send the wrong info to the Anti-Theft module ->PCM? For example the key hit the ground or got handled too much.
@@KosherFinance it turns out that a blinking auto theft light is actually normal. It means that the anti theft system is active. It's only bad when it's blinking sporadically and causes electrical problems like your car not starting.
Thanks, I used your technique and it worked perfectly. Nut was crazy tight. This is the first time I’ve had one that I couldn’t just loosen with hammer.
I appreciate this video I have a 02 3.8 and like u I’ve been frustrated for months changing everything and was getting ready to change a key but now I’ll try this first
Yep that’s right thanks for the information the dealership will charge 2 grand for this I have a 04 Mustang GT automatic dark shadow gray my theft light is flashing a little faster and over night and in the morning it is on with no flashing so far my car still crank good with no problems so I think I will just go to google and buy one and have it ready just in case I know sooner it’s going to happen thanks
Just got a 1997 mustang and couldn’t figure out what it was that was stopping it from starting !! So happy that was what it was and ur little filming man was great to. Thank you
I ended up using two pipe wrenches. One to grab two of the bolts on the water pump pulley, and a smaller one to grab the nut. After nearly two hours of fighting it, it came off easily.
Check the PCM relay. It’s located under the hood in the box on drivers side. We picked one up for our f150 for about $5 from Ford. You can pull the relay and watch how the theft light blinks to know what code it’s throwing. If the relay is bad it’s a quick cheap and easy fix
You are a goddamm genius. been struggling for 2 hours and literally took 2 minutes to do it this way. thanks for the video. Liked and subscribed. the people that gave this a thumbs down are turds.
