Love how you share other artists that inspire you. Your work has inspired me so. Please, do keep going and if you feel like sharing what you are doing, that is great as well. Thanks!
His artworks are huge. It must be a challenge to paint at that size. I found it a challenge to get used to A2 size, after being only used to using a sketchbook before. Particularly for portraits, they must be a real challenge.
This was super interesting mate. Thankyou for sharing your process in so much detail, it was very generous of you. I've been experimenting with different styles of art. Next I will be trying collage, spray paint, acrylics etc. So your videos have given be some cool ideas to try. Your work looks so fun and vibrant, keep at it :o)
Very cool. I wonder if it’s possible in the future to add captions? I have ADHD/audio processing difficulties. It would be more accessible to me & possibly others, to read and hear what creators are saying.
Than let me congratulate your 15yr olds! It must be really amazing to be appreciated by so many. Including art critics and art galleries. Not to mention the good money this art is making 😂
Thank you! I don't know about the subs. I am growing. Not as fast as I would like to but.... I am :) I am more focused on my art so I don't post that consistent. Let's see what happens in a year.
Congrats on this! I know this overall feeling also…I agreed to make collage of all 50 United States for a collaboration… I had less than two months to do it. But like you said in your video you simply do it. Your work is already amazing in the progress stage!!!!
Very inspiring art- I agree with you that she is making such a visual impact while keeping things so simple. Thank you for sharing, now I have another new artist to follow on Instagram.
I follow you because you’re a collage artist, Romanian, and extremely talented in your craft. I also come from Romania. Been in the states since 1985. I was just 13 when I arrived here, and I did have somewhat of a culture shock as soon as I stepped out of the country. However, my greatest culture shock was when I realized how horrible it was living under a communist regime and how the mentality of the old system still existed almost 6, 12, and 14 years after the fall of communism when I went back and visited. Moreover, what shocks me still is that the ideas of communism have infiltrated the west to the point where I’m no longer recognizing the free country we all dreamed about when we lived under communism. I pray and hope the artists community will wake up and create art that speaks to the ideals of humanity living in freedom. I love this series you’re starting. Very inspiring! BTW I’m using some of your videos as examples for collage art in my classroom. Your process is phenomenal!
Oh my goodness! Your message got me so emotional... Unfortunately you can still find the comunist mentality here in Romania even nowadays. But I try to be as empathetic as I can. It is hard to change your mentally after half of life in cage...
I've first get in touch with VOKA's art more than 15 years ago... I think he is one of the artists that inspired me since the beginning of my collage art career. Hope you're also inspired by his amazing artworks!
1) The glass is not a 100% protection, the cleaning process itself is risky and costly. 2) A good grafitti or street artist can add immense value to the object he is acting upon. Throwing soup or paint adds no value because... 3) ...it involves no skill, ingeniuity or creativity - it is not art. It is infantile, destructive behaviour. A climate activist with dedication and skill might i.e. put a laser projection on a public building to transport his message. But those climate activists are not serious people and they do not add value to the life of others. One might even argue that any serious climate activism must happen in the halls of science and engineering. But that is hard stuff - throwing stuff at art and stopping traffic is easy.
I totally agree! But I wasn't talking about the added value over here. Because there are laws that do not approve spray painting on a road sign or on something that it is not your property. So if you think about the action, according to the law, it is the same thing. We just try to justify the art because we love art. I know I do this 😀
I think portraying themselves as villains by attempting to deface 1 of 1 artwork probably gets less people to ultimately listen to their message. Even if it is all clearly done just for show to raise awareness for their cause, I personally tend to ignore crazy people in public. Maybe that’s just me though.
Yeah, but according to the law street artist do exactly the same thing. So they are also crazy people that should be ignored.. I just wanted to point about that depending on our preferences some of us teeat same actions differently.
The amount of work and patience that goes into this is impressive! I look forward to seeing the collage process. PS: I noticed your Brancusi t-shirt. Is it available to buy anywhere?
