Varia suit is not skippable. You get it when you defeat the chozo ghost, the item disappears from it's location in brinstar and is counted toward item percent.
No, it is just very precise. All the wall jumps on the right wall need to be buffered and are nearly frame perfect That skip is called Adam Save Skip so you can watch a youtube tutorial for it if you're struggling

Waste of time. You automatically get it when you get the Gravity Suit anyway so if you can get through the rest of the game without dying then you don't need to grab Varia. Skill and extra energy tanks more than makes up for what Varia can offer you.
caught the very end (mecha and escape) live and was really surprised at the pace, since i thought the 36:52 was incredible itself. was the additional 20s of timesave from new strats or was there really a lot to save in execution?
