About Us Identity School of Acting is an award-winning, part-time drama school based in London and Los Angeles.
Founded sixteen years ago, and with a mission to disrupt the industry with a new, diverse generation of talent, IDSA is dedicated to preparing and producing stars across stage and screen. Extensive training across movement, voice and mind, and the wide breadth of disciplines that are integrated into our curriculum, enable students to develop their own distinctive voices, and equip them for the professional world of dramatic arts.
To give this guy a fair analysis. Perhaps in the beginning of his career, he achieved a few valid things. To make a few very strict casting directors see that each type of person on a casting breakdown, might be playable by many different phenotypes/looks, for example. As long as it is not subversion of story for its own petty sake, which is meaningless, nihilistic and regressive, but as an artistic choice, leading to genuine truth and beauty, that is fine. But that's about it. Once you acheived this 'not excessive narrowness to what might be in a story', the work is surely done. Not that most casting directors are that narrow anyway, they are often just trying to create a simulacrum of truth in storytelling. Anything more than this is the horrendous quota filling, not talent or reality based, garbage ruining cinema day after day. Try going to Nigeria and telling them to start quota filling there in their (very, very prolific in output, if not in quality, although quality is improving) films. You will get some very funny looks indeed.
Really, people need to stop giving awards to mediocre non-talents, like this guy, whose contribution to cinema is making it less talent based and more based on a schizophrenic woke paint by numbers quota filling. Really, cinema (which should be based on lots of real research) should reject the idea that one race has suffered more horribly than others aka critical race theory and other woke tosh as it is ahistorical. The UK, clearly this man's adopted home, for example, has fought off invasions from Vikings, Romans, Germans, Scottish, French, Nazis etc etc in extreme culture changing, mass people mobilizing events. So why don't the people of this island whinge about it all the time whereas, say, a Nigerian, will whinge all the time about events which were, in a net sense, positive (the creation of the Westphalian system, or nation state, in Africa, and the spreading of the industrial/scientific revolution to Africa). You won't like the non-Pc answer. Yes, some tribes just like whinging a lot, it is that simple, there is no deeper answer, even if you look for 10 000 years. Now, there always were giant, multinational companies who set up business in various countriess and gave little back to the people. Some countries managed to bring those companies CEOs to heel and others didn't. Africa, in large part didn't, mired in its own corruption, Marxist gerrymandering, infighting, and so on. Woke narratives, unfortunately, don't move you forward, as you must study the people who stabilised their economies and became net contributers to the intellectual and scientific output on this earth as, for example, many Asian countries did (who were also once colonies of somwhere). Oh, wait, so those economic powerhouses, such as Singapore, who are not whinging every 5 minutes about how life isn't fair, filming crappy twerking videos and making face puckering selfies every 5 minutes, and now they are a super successful economy.... Wait a minute, I am starting to see a pattern here. But the Woke African man must believe his victim narrative, right? It has severed him so well so far, of course!!!
@@MartineNergaard go for it they're literally the best.. all these other acting agency's/schools and productions are racists.. that's why identity was needed ...and they actually opened doors for you regardless no matter what colour/sex or belief system you held .. they didn't care what your back ground was.. the founder is my hero for real.

I never wanted to go to any school or university for acting because I knew I could make my own way, but when I saw this my heart just felt so relieved & happy.
