Nice video. Thanks. Another option for making sure that the hinge is installed “straight” is to use a tri-square, or any square that is long enough to reach the hinge. Just hold the square against the top/bottom of the door and the long edge of the hinge. The hinge will straighten up almost by itself. Hold the hinge against the square and drill the holes. No marking necessary.
Thanks for the tips. A stop block would save a lot of marking up with the gauges and lining up the doors, especially if you have a lot of doors to do. Your use of a fence to set the distance from the side edge of the door is a great idea, now add a stop block for the tops and bottoms. Once your first door is clamped where you want it, add a stop block to the right side of the table. Bore one hole in *all* of your doors, then move the stop block to the left and bore all the other holes. You only have to mark one door since the fence and stop block will position all the other doors for you.
Thanks for the clear and full unboxing experience video. I am going to order this, and a ton of people on Amazon said there is not enough oil to fill halfway (the pump holds 250ml) and the Amazon site doesn't tell how much oil is included in the bottle. Now i know it's 250ml. Everything looks of a decent quality. This is the only sub $200 pump and chamber combo with mostly positive reviews, and your video helps to get an idea of the care in packaging and product quality. Much appreciated. 👍🏽
I was looking for some ideas to make a running medal rack for my misses, and found this. I like and prefer your design so will be sort of copying it but will be making the back to the shelf a bit higher to fit the photos. So thank you for showing and the walk through. I also now have work shop envy as well, so not so much thanks for that though 😉😄👍
Thank you, to be honest I can’t recall how much it cost me but it was not cheap. Today oak is even more expensive than when I purchased this piece. If I dig out what it cost I will come back and comment Thanks for watching and commenting Keep well Jase
He was at the hospital morgue still as they had not released my dad to the undertakers, so had to guess the size. 😢 it was so sad to make but also an honour to make .
Can you help me please I have the same router and have over titeend the spindle with a bit on know I can't take it of and it just keeps spinning any help how to remove it kind regards
I had the exact same issue, got fed up repairing my that I just removed the spindle lock all together and now just use a pair of spanner’s. Works a treat
Thanks Jase. Trend owe you a beer. I bought this jig after seeing your video. Instructions were great. Went together a treat. Did you get round to the how to use it video. I can’t find it.
The videos great maybe give the measurements for the jig as your making it and what bits your using in the router that kind of thing but yeh love the content
Great video Iv owner this router four only six weeks went to use it yesterday and had the same problem but even worse! The lock isn’t even stoping the cutter from moving so I can’t even remove the cutter! Taking it back to screw fix this week! Six weeks and only used four times
Hi what I realised was …. When I first got my router I was over tightening the collet thinking it has to be really tight. I also found I was not pressing in the button fully The over tightening and not pushing the button in fully meant that I was forcing it and causing it to slip and then damage the part. Since releasing this and changing the part I have had no issues. I would say it’s not the greatest method of stopping the motor armour from turning but I guess they can’t put a bar through the armour like they do on larger routers as it just is not big enough. I’m sure wherever you purchased from will replace or refund. Cheers
Hi I forget the exact model but it’s an Axminster bench top drill press and must admit at first I did not like idea of Axminster but actually come to like their tools and service
They make an attachment that slides into the two openings on the front of the foot base. The standard ones are usually short and can allow a 16" or 40cm diameter circle. But a longer one can surely be rigged up that would be easier than the board/pivot/gizmo. www.amazon.com/Festool-490118-Circle-Attachment-Jigsaws/dp/B000LKQOZE/ref=pd_lpo_469_img_2/143-0311758-0374846?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000LKQOZE&pd_rd_r=838474f8-49c1-4a40-b77c-38692533062c&pd_rd_w=Ulnct&pd_rd_wg=JyYU9&pf_rd_p=337be819-13af-4fb9-8b3e-a5291c097ebb&pf_rd_r=M9WJZTJ238KSFEWPMVKR&psc=1&refRID=M9WJZTJ238KSFEWPMVKR
..its should come with the spanner and allen keys, never mind its very nice it does :), Did you find it ok to set up? I just wonder why is around the £110 pound mark and others are around the £400.00 ? Really what is the difference? perhaps just marketing and youtubers telling us we MUST spend silly money bla bla bla :). Nice for the walk through but it would of been nice to see you perhaps do a episode working it. Its like viewing a car say you will buy it but not giving it a test run
