So... we're going to ignore the fact that Aslan just massacred his own people?
@gamerstheater1187

One critique: The Telmerines weren't exiled out of the world, that would classify as genocide. What happened was that some Telmerines didn't want to live alongside the Narnians so Aslan gave some of them the option to leave the land, only a handful of them left while the rest integrated alongside the nonhumans.

I personally didn't have a choice. My parents bought an omnibus in chronological order of events of Narnia and although I noticed differences in tone for example of "Magician's nephew" and "Lion, witch and wardrobe" I liked it nonetheless. I discovered publication order few years after and was quite surprised by it, but I never tried reading Chronicles in this order

The first theory is believed to be true in russian-speaking Narnia fan community because there's a mistake in translation of the sentence in "Silver chair". They translated that "Green witch was of the same kind as the White witch.who enslaved Narnia" as smth like "This was the same witch who had enslaved Narnia in the past for a century"

A lot of people suggest another book focusing on Susan's return and I think that book has (kind of) already been written. One of the last books CS Lewis wrote was his take on story of Cupid and Psyche called "till we have faces" - The story is written from the perspective of Psyche's Sister who, although has had experiences that have shown her that Cupid is real, pushes those experiences a side saying he is not real. In the process our main character becomes an awesome queen but loses her sister. It's a great read!

Once art, like all communication, has been made/published, it stands on its own. What was intended by its creator means very little to the evidence that is the work. Every story is an allegory if one can find meaning within it….or a story is not allegory because the author said that it wasn’t. One statement is true, the other is not.

Susan was a mature woman in Narnia, when she came back home she thought she had outgrown what she was once was, A queen with strength, grace, and power, and replaces it with partying, lipstick, and acting like a know it all. Which would be seen as childish.

Read Narnia hundred's of times , enough to wear out 3 sets of books since 1978 to today. Love your programs especially because of the disgraceful slaughter the movies treated vs lewis source material. It's like Peter Jackson hearing about smauge and his jewel and gold crusted belly, he had to actively put it in. It's in the details.... Bravo Lara Butler Brady Kauai Hawaii

For me publication order makes sense at least for the first 5 books, with horse and his boy following silver chair since at the beginning of silver chair it is revealed that Eustace and Jill are told the tale of the horse and his boy when they are welcomed into Cair Paravel by the Dwarf (his name is eluding me) who is a stickler for caspian's commands. as for magicians nephew it could be skipped over and read last without too much effect However the creation is better read before the "distruction" of the realm.

I think the most telling aspect of Peter's character is his immediate apology to Lucy when he learns that Narnia is real. No excuses, no justifications, just an apology.

I still wanna know what happened to Caspian's aunt and baby cousin. I know what HISTORICALLY would happen to a potential challenger to the throne and his mother, but I feel like Caspian and Aslan would be more merciful...

Oh, dude, the Professor knew. He put it aside where it wouldn't be messed with. I have no doubt that Aslan guided him in some way or another. And I don't doubt that when the Pevensie parents arranged for the kids to go there that he knew something would happen.

JK Rowling's take is awful. There's no notion implied by Lewis that a girl can't grow up and become interested in adult woman stuff and not continue to value other things. It's not about what she came to value, its what she turned her back on.

I found this video because I suddenly remembered part of a story we read in school. Something about ringing a bell and some very tall woman awakens. Something about green pools and yellow pools that transport people. Something about a word that would destroy entire worlds. I never read any of these books, but it still stands out as one of the few stories I remember from school. I had to google these vague terms because I had no idea what book it was from. It's strange how we can remember such insignificant details after so many decades.

I was also wondering how the wardrobe got the narnia magic in the first place but my other theory on that is maybe this took place before the harry potter days and they somehow got access to magic off of that or something

Im still wondering the backstory behind the iconic part of the movie the random light pole that they found in the snowy woods like when and who built it because it seemed like it was recently built since in the movie it was in good shape and when the people found it again at the end it wasnt glowing very much probably since it looked like a gas lamp and it was low on gas or something

There's a discrepancy here. The Silver Chair takes place some 70 Narnian years after the Dawn Treader, and Caspian X was still alive and very old at this time. So there's no way he could have died at 67. He'd be way over 80.

When I saw the title, i recalled the magicians nephew book written by CS. Lewis, And I recalled the story, and I knew the true story as according to the book, and I hoped that your story was identical to mine… Or perhaps you had a bit more to the story, that I didn’t. Good overview, I love Narnian content. Be watching your next one.

I binge read the entire series two years ago after only watching books and reading the magicians nephew in elementary 20 years ago. It was an amazing adventure to really dive in as an adult and sadly no book has compared to the magic, deep allegory, and excitement that reading this series had on me since then. I love CS Lewis and his ability to write. Wish I could find another fiction book as special, the closest I had was enjoying the pilgrims regress after reading the pilgrims progress and appreciating the uniqueness of Lewis’ tale.

@@IntotheWardrobe Nice.👍🏻 can’t wait thanks. Also could explain how prince caspian knew it was a werewolf. While he was in human form? Cause peter who came to help in the fight, after it he said and I quote. “And I suppose this thing is a werewolf. It’s so long since I’ve seen one. Wolfs head and man’s body. That means he was just turning from man into wolf at the moment he was killed”. So obviously the werewolf was in human form when talking.

I think Lord Bern was the smartest of them all. He likely knew Miraz had ulterior motives and wanted to get rid of the whole bunch of them so he chose to lie low and live a low-profile life in the islands which made him a non-target. Very Taoist.
