I feel that I should’ve been there. I was let go from HOC last August 2023 and expressed the issues leading to my unemployment which are the same issues brought up in this meeting. I wrote a letter directly to Chelsey to make her aware of what’s going on thinking she didn’t know (WRONG because I believe she’s aware but simply doesn’t care) and never heard back from her. She didn’t even acknowledged receiving my letter yet she had the supervisors adjust whatever they needed to adjust so that nothing will show nor anyone would question it. I did my best despite the lack of training and support from management who only kept adding more work to all the housing specialist. It’s a shame that it had to come to this………. Shame on all HOC management including the president 😡

We know that the Department of Health and Human Services do not offer benefits for people that don't have children unless you are mentally disabled they never considered people that do go through post-pandemic stresses or financial hardship that has nothing to do with being mentally disabled even post-pandemic stress has caused a lot of mental disabled and an emotional stress

At hoc partnership with Housing Partnership Solutions. Have an event with property owners that want to help the people. Have an event with property owners that see eye-to-eye if you have over 50 units ain't no way you paying $2,000 a month for effiecy or 1 bedroom

Holc I commend you for all the work that you have done you are a wonderful organization in addition to Montgomery County and I hope one day we can have a partnership event where we have apartment owners meet with the public and the people and offer them the opportunity run day credit speak with them to see what we can do to approve person to live out of poverty

I just wanted to say that you know I'm a community advocate that has been stressed out mentally and also going through a spiritual warfare there are certain things that happen to apartment buildings like infiltration from the streets we have to get safety into our community

What I do recommend though if any property in the state of Maryland I'm just going to say Montgomery County since we got all these fancy buildings if you have more than 50 units then you should offer the mpdu program especially with so many undocumented citizen Action Agency what about us I'm an American citizen standing up for undocumented people with no name that's a public safety concern

I hope I'm approved for my hoc grant only thing that I can do is pray and give it to the Lord. I'm treated so unfairly in Montgomery County Maryland but me and being denied benefits that I qualify for my child support check being stolen my son being abused by the county I'm a post-pandemic victim of covid-19 are love my people I love my County it's not fair when you qualify for benefits and you don't get it because someone else is using your identity

I'm working on getting back into FSS so I can proceed forward with the college that I was attending Asworth college for a certification program in the sterile processing. I have a tuition fee but I need to coordinate with Fss case manager with a question that I have to ask about.

You need to investigate Edgewood Management Company, during the pandemic I was told to Downsizing, that was 10/20. On June 23rd 2021, I was told by Ms. Bawiec and Mrs. Crawford that my rent for those months was miss calculated by Edgewood Management Company staff and I had to pay the difference or be terminated. I have been asking for a meeting about this with Mrs. Hodge a d still have not been given my chance to confront the abuse and threats that I endured by the Edgewood Management Company Ms. Bawiec and Ms. Davis. When will I get my appeal hearing?

HOC needs to be involved in the negotiations with the property manager and the residents. Edgewood Management Company has missed used their authority in Management. I had to call HUD to file my complaint. I am a retired County worker on disability and over 60 years of age. Again I was threatened of termination of my Housing by Edgewood Management Company staff. This has had a great impact on my mental health and wellbeing. HOC and Landlord and Tenant need to be very involved.

HOC need to dismantle the contract use of third party property Management companies, like Edgewood Management company. They have serious problems. Some may be illegal. I suggest that the Housing Authority do an investigation like ASAP.
