The Palestinians live in a backward, self- oppressed (and indeed oppressed in sense of occupation), their views about women and relationships and their refusal to modernise and to become a Modern society is a reflection how sick and unwell and backward the society is. From what I understand the Nation of Islam began in the early nineteen hundreds as a separatist, nationalist movement for African Americans. It advocated beliefs, rituals, and practices that were unrecognizable as Islam. Yet these beliefs were inspired by Islam to some extent, as they were also inspired by Christianity and African American pride. Is this your understanding as well? I read that the Nation of Islam had its Inception in 1913, when a man named Timothy Drew from North Carolina change his name to Noble Drew Ali and founded the Moorish Science Temple. I understand that Noble Drew Ali Proclaim himself to be a prophet of Allah chain charged by the king of Morocco with the mission bring Islam to African Americans. His philosophy was a mixture of the Quran, the Bible, and African nationalism.

How does Islam teach you to control your sexual impulses? The woman has to cover from head to toe and best not leave the house, otherwise everthing that might happen is on her head, because those poor men simply can't be expected to control themselves. And of you pick up just 1% , you will probably do okay, when you pick up more then you and the world are in deep trouble. Wasting your life trying to do things that are completely irrelevant in the greater scheme will be the least of your problems.

It seems bizarre that with the virtually non-stop patter about COVID_19, it is left to Daniel Pipes to ask whether this virus came from Chinese wet markets, as is the generally accepted belief, from the Chinese virology lab in Wuhan or from an animal found in the wet markets that came from the virology lab. Turkey with a population of 81M have 3,5M Turk/Kurd marriages. In comparision US 330M have 4,5M interratial marriage. As seen Kurds in Turkey is almost 4 times more integrated to Turkey than races in liberal US. So any discussion on Kurds in any shape or form is not a cultural discussion for Turkey it is an existential discusion for Turkey and people of Turkey whether they are Turk or Kurd. Some Kurds in far east of Turkey and some Turks in the very west of Turkey with negative feelings have no decisive power on the subject. Any foreign power who miss the point would face a hostile Turkey and Turkish public opinion.
Turkey would not be easy down the road with or without Erdogan. Its better to accomodate to a difficult Turkey. Carving another Iran out off Turkey is in noones interest.

For islamists, the leadership of the Turkish Army has to be destroyed because Kemal Atta Turk had given orders to always make sure that there would be no overthrow of the secular Turkish State , by islamists who want to go back to the Ottoman empire type of State. They did their job well by preventing four coup d'etats by islamists. Now their wings are clipped and they have no power to counter the islamists. Proof that you cannot have close relationships with ANY islamic country, even if they are (temporarily) "secular." If Gulen started this process and was friends with Erdogan, who totally agrees with this process, then the reason for their "fight" is most probably the fact that Erdogan wanted to become the leader and did not have another person sharing it with him. There are probably more details to it but this is the main point I would think. Erdogan does not accept anyone to have power except himself. Gulen would not have been better , since he has the same project in mind .Why did he have to go the USA? He could have lived in an islamic state.
