You put the protector side of the GradedGuard on the back of the card?!? And then choose to knock them for it no less? I thought you were joking at first
The protector side is designed to go on the back side of the card actually. Go fact check me and look it up. I wish the protector was on the front and back in my own opinion though. I also wish the protector had UV protection because the GG definitely feels the best in hand.
I have some hero diamond cases, but I’m looking for a stand for it. Any ideas? There’s a guy on eBay selling halo stands but that would be without a case, so I’m wondering will the protection be the same with it being 99-100% UV protection.
@arnold-moger If I have a diamond shell case, do you know of any stands I can prop them up on? There’s a guy on eBay selling halo stands, but they would require no case, but still has a cover that’s 100% UV.
@@arnold-moger Exactly what I meant?? I have seen what direct sunlight exposure can do to a slabbed card through a glass window. A guy called silversnorlax204 on RU-vid also has done experiments with sunlight UV. Honestly just don't leave your cards displayed for several hours a day in direct sunlight and you should be fine.
@@auswolf9507 No sir! I can only see the one about comments being deleted! I don't think I have any filtering on here but I am not a RU-vid expert either!
@@arnold-moger Oh ok probably youtube deleting them for whatever reason. I was trying to shout out another youtuber Silversnorlax204 who also did UV light testing a few years back.
That's why I cracked every slab in half for the video. I did not do any testing with both panes with the plastic, it was all single pane testing. Even for the beckett one, I cut the sleeve in half to make sure only one side of sleeve was tested!
Great video. I think the slab mag has all 3 and is worth the money. I was thinking of using another sleeve with the Graded Guards, but the experience is lessened. Therefore, slab mag is the best experience bc it doesn require a sleeve.
Very cool! I was just wondering about this as my son has a bunch of cards displayed on his dresser and they get a fair bit of sun so I'll be sure to have him watch this. This may sound dumb but have you considered trying to put sunscreen or car wax on the slabs and then check the results? Thanks for the info!
I have not but sunscreen works by absorbing into the human skin. If you applied sunscreen to a slab, I might block UV, but it would 100% block clarity. Most screen is chemical based and again works by absorbing into the skin.
