This was very disappointing. You made this sound "safe" entertaining. Then you played a final segment that could have easily gotten a woman killed for going to the bathroom at the wrong moment. This is dangerous violent misogynistic behavior and your guest acted like they were just good old boys. You didn't interrogate his choice to "produce" and legitimize a movement like this. You didn't discuss the damage that this belief system can and has done to people with mental trauma and illnesses. I've been listening to you all for while and this is the second episode that made me want to scold you. You were irresponsible and incurious about your guests motives and actions. He is glorifying something that is truly dangerous to a lot of people and you didn't even talk about that in the vaguest of terms. Please be more thoughtful, and please don't give journalists a free ride on their integrity- which you definitely did with this guest.

I am a massive fan of Michael Emerson (Harold Finch in Person of Interest). He broke into professional acting in his 40s after years of trying, got made a main character on LOST through his talent alone, is a big Shakespeare nerd who has a reverence for the art of acting and words, and is the go-to guy if you want a dramatic speech done well. The idea that he had to deal with Jim Caviezel being handed ‘no’ written on a piece of paper is insane. But again him and the rest of the cast, like Taraji P Henson, were more replaceable than Caviezel in the eyes of the producers. Complaining would have either tanked the show and put everyone out of work, or gotten themselves fired. I’m just glad that they brought on Shaw, Root and Fusco as regulars to help carry it through.

All this stuff proves to me that typical people don't use reasoning to figure out what to believe but decide what they believe first and then imagine reasons to justify their beliefs afterwards; this is what makes demagogues so dangerous. It seems to me the fundamental goal of Qanon (aside from making money for charlatans) is to create a political environment conducive to modern witch hunts, in which anyone can be destroyed at anytime based on nothing but the baseless accusations of a Q influencer.

Drake actually has a noted history of weird activity around underaged fans. I get how Qanon can make it easy to see any of these claims as spurious, but there are people abusing kids or, in Drake's case, establishing trust with minors so when they turn legal he can seem like "just a nice guy" and "no it isn't weird for a 38 year old to date a 19 year old. They're both adults."
