Coukd you imagine how good this horse would have been with a great driver i mean this horse was a monster with paul who is terrible i can only imagine a top notch driver on this beast def would have went undefeated thats for sure
I remember they were giving away free season passes on opening night one year. Lost all my money by about the 6th race. Ripped up the season pass in a million pieces. Stopped at an ATM on Rte 1 turned back around and had to pay to get back in. Ah - the life of the degenerate gambler. Robert Kraft unknowingly saved me money when he bought Foxboro Raceway and turned it into a parking lot for Pats games.
The beach is my all time favorite race horse in the pacers,,, shadow play was getting whipped while Paul just casually urged the beach to beat him,,,, no, he could've beat him a lot worse then that...but it doesn't matter he won and in my book he made it look easy like( I'm just teasing you )!!!! Yes his record has been broken but he was a true champion!!!
Aw man that brings back memories. I was 17 in 1985 and a buddy of mine started bringing me here shortly after this. Winfield ore, Williamsburg one, Broadway premiere, songster - why did all these old horse names just pop into my head!
Anybody remember the theme song music for the hinsdale 1970s tv commercials? I cant find it on the internet....who did it? Whats the title? Is there a recording available? I miss hearing it! Havent heard it in years.
Did anyone else notice that Paul did not use the whip down the stretch, but the poor 2nd horse was beaten like crazy, there is no doubt that the whip has to go. I think this was Beach’s best race
A huge race in the Beach's career. This kept him undefeated. He later lost to Art Official, of course, but this win was huge for his legacy, as his one loss was likely his greatest performance, and he lost to a drugged horse. This is a largely forgotten race, but at the time, and now in hindsight, it was a great race, and quite significant as far as legacy goes.
Funny thing is Jon couldn't sing Prayer in the actual Album key now if his life depended on it and hasn't been able to since the Jersey Syndicate You in 1989 lol Jon has made Bon Jovi into a BRAND now instead of the BAND it used to be. Yes I'm 47 and the whole BJ catalog is the soundtrack to my youth, but just sayin....it ain't the same band it was back then......Richie Sambora left the band for a reason.
