I don't know how long you've been building dios, but I've watched your stuff go from "yeah that looks alright" to "damn that looks really good". Keep it up homie!
Wow you made it yourself ? Awesome. I've started collecting last year and have started customizing and repainting. And terrain and dioramas is certainly something I want to try my hand at too. Good luck.
I appreciate it but it is true. I have got very lucky things fall in place. Lots of borrowing ideas from others and then I make the macaroni art expecting the Mona Lisa.
Fantastic setup! I can't quite match your setup. I have 56 X-Men in 4 different Teams, and a few Mansion staff, I have a 20 some odd Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, in Hellfire Club I have a 7 member Inner Circle, 7 Goons and 3 Reivers. My Sentinels are pathetic! I only have; 1 12" Toy Biz Sentinels 6 3.75 scale Sentinels 1 Nimrod as Nimrod Prime 5 Toy Biz Nimrods as Nimrod Drones 3 Omega Sentinels 1 3 head Sentinel I plan on buying some of these Titan Sentinels to increase my basic Sentinels. It will at least make my numbers look better.
That sounds like a great setup. Mine is just volume. I had the idea to set up by team then it just became lets get this done. I plan on a diorama for them, but until then this is the mess.
I do my Teams different from their Comics in terms of who goes where. I have X-Men as the main Team, X-Factor I go back to the Original idea of the Team as the 'Public Face' of Mutants and so I put the more popular and/or photogenic Mutants, for X-Force I again go back to the Original premise as the lethal Strike Team and I fill it with the members that are willing to use lethal force and Nightcrawler and Shadowcat as scouts, then I have New Mutants. Since they are well trained at this point the New Mutants are like my '21 Jump Street' in that they are the ones who contact and protect emerging Mutants.
Now I have to go back and do better. I tried to have them near their team but I struggle with where the best fit is for some of them. Nightcrawler has been iconic in several teams. I didn't keep all of my X force, a regret and so on. I also tried to not have duplicates on the shelf but that also fell to the wayside, because so many have iconic looks.
Yes, well, I am a 29 1/2 year Collector, I have built 10 different Earth's, I have approximately 5,000 Figures overall. I have 6 DC Earth's, 3 Marvel Earth's, and an Earth Between that is mostly Fantasy and Sci-fi. Despite having twice as many DC Earth's, I have twice as many Marvel Figures. So I have X-Men on 3 different Earth's. 56 is just how many I have on Earth 616. Earth 777 is where older Toy Biz versions are, although many have been replaced, and Earth 818 is where I put more Futuristic looking versions. Old Man Logan is headmaster of Xavier's school for example. It's where I also put X-23 in the Wolverine Outfit, AOA Iceman and Kitty Pryde, a Kitbashed grown up Franklin Richards, a 'Daughter of Storm and Black Panther', etc.
With Hasbro's pricing ($25 for an Ewok), I cannot believe they are not spitting more of the little figures out at the same price as the normal size. I will have to add 20 more trees to the village if they can catch on how much money they could make on those. I'm using both scales to get enough to cover the tree.
I lost my drive for marvel legends. I had all until the last couple years. They just stopped growing. But I do want to build a diorama like I’m working on for Mythic Legions.
Me too. They did a weird episode where a not so good knight was kicked out of each town because he was not good at keeping them safe, had a similar look. But this figure is amazing and looks great with WarDuke.
In the diorama a few hundred dollars over a couple years. The resin for the castle was the most expensive. If you are asking figure wise I’m not allowed to say in case my wife ever reads this.
I can. I have some gaps between the dioramas to add other factions. So you will see some pink foam, but there are plans. I will put that up Monday when I get back from power con.
