Actually great tips. The pack up tips relating to protecting the tent were particularly smart, since this is more of a value-tent and the responsibility is really on the owner to ensure it's longevity. Thank you! Planning to purchase this model shortly. Wondering how it held up :)
Thank you for watching & commenting! I believe this piece is still in service. We are hopeful that we at a minimum entertain, possibly inform & hope to inspire. Stay Sharp!!
I don’t own a PM2 yet, I decided to go with the para 3. It’s the most fidget friendly knife I own (especially since I added a front flipper, and a leather strap wave opener). I realized that my constant flipping of this knife must drive people insane so I started twirling it. It’s basically my “fidget spinner” and I don’t even need to open it up. Also I feel like ocelot from metal gear when I spin it around. Edit: I forgot to say hilarious, and awesome video my man, definitely solidified my choice to buy the pm2
Thanks for the comment and watching!! I'm so sorry to hear that you are another Spydie Tax victim. Try not to cry too much and I hope you won't lose friends over the constant clatter of playing with yours. Stay Sharp!!
You're most welcome & thank you for watching! We try to stay in our lane with stuff you really may not see other places. We'll never be the biggest but we do our best. Stay Sharp!!
bought one when i was 7 or 8, made a duct tape sheath for it and had been using the combo camping, hiking, and canoeing for over 20 years (a few minor fixes to the sheath of course because duct tape) also a fun project is to carve a design into the handle to help with grip
Even at a tender age you were developing a healthy hatred for this knife. Great story! Thank you for sharing it here, for watching & for Staying Sharp all these years!!
Thank you for the comment and watching!! It seems we share a hate for this knife that runs deep. I hope there is some peace in knowing that you are not alone. Stay Sharp!!
Hi! Nice analogy. Very well said. Expecting my CS 13TL in a few days after years of searching since it was discontinued. Just want to ask the size of the torx screws on this one? Planning to customize the scales on mine. Thanks.
Thank you watching & the kind words. The screws are a T10 and the Secure-Ex, that you are likely discarding, provides retention using the handle scales. The tang is also tapered for added creativity. Have fun with the project and enjoy what I believe to be the pinnacle achievement of Lynn Thompson! Thank you for watching & Stay Sharp!!
@@survivalinstruct0r This is the knife I first fell in love with before I started collecting. For whatever reason, I just opted for Tops, Esee, Extrema Ratio, those manufacturers. But when I learned about CS discontinuing this 13TL, I knew I had to have it. The new warcraft does not appeal to me that much. I have to agree with you. This 13TL is way up there in the pinnacle of CS manufacturing. Much thanks.
For better retention in the sheath first find th point at which the bulge of the handle meets the sheath. Now. With about a one eighth inch drill bit drill through the outer face of the sheath. Next cuta very narrow wedge from the hole to the top. This mod intruduces a bit more springiness to the sheath and somewhat improves retention. This is obviously a permanent alteration so consider carefully before proceeding.
Thanks for watching! This is a good description of a mod that might really help someone to hate this knife even more!! Thanks for the comment and Stay Sharp!!
Hello, thank you for watching & commenting! An interwebs search says it's unlikely to be a replica of yours but I am no expert on vintage lighters.. Sorry I am not able to say what it is a replica of specifically. Stay Sharp,!
I'm not a fidget flicker. I buy knives to use, not play with. I've carried a stainless Delica 4 for over 10 years. It's been a great knife, but was looking for something a little different. The top 2 Spyderco offerings seemed to be the Manix 2 and the PM 2, so I got one of each. I liked the Manix 2 so much, I fell into the rabbit hole and upgraded the hardware, along with the ballcage and bearing with Flytanium parts. I like the feel of the PM 2 better, but 8 out of 10 times I open it, the lock on the back pinches my hand. Might take some getting used to, but the Manix 2 has been working out better for me.
Thanks for the comment and watching! Sure sounds like a gopher hole.. Stepped in it by mistake, now fallen & can't get up! I worked with the manix and those upgrades you made are how it should come! Nes Pas? The Grinch said it.. Hate hate hate, loath entirely!! Stay Sharp!!
The sheath is absolutely perfect for swedish winters , drainhole ,no leather that can mold if you have trouble drying it if you are out longer than a few hours and your staying place can not be heated. All a question of what is needed.
Thank you for watching & commenting. I'm sure Swedish winters are great, possibly like Canadian winters..? The scabbard for me has two jobs. Keep the user safe. Keep the knife safe. Big Jobs!! Drying and other maintenance items are for the user..? Also, this style is truly made like an after thought. Stay Sharp!!
@@survivalinstruct0r not quite correct, if you are making the annual reindeer migration in the winter that can take up to a month and going trough rivers you have enough trouble that a leather sheath can be a pain. Older ones had selfmade metal sheaths with drain holes . Leather is nice and good looking but also a pain if it gets drenched in such conditions. Its not an afterthought but a solution to a real life situation. When you finish the day and go to sleep besides the animals ( no house or hotel) and have a sheath thats easy to dry and wiping of and oiling makes more sense than a leather one that takes hours to dry in a warm environment , that you dont have at that time.
Thanks for the comment and watching! You're hate is much broader than mine even so you likely have broader experience.. Why Mora?! Why are you doing this? Subscribe?? Stay Sharp!!
Thanks for the comment! That's a rabbit hole as well!! Great options for customization but hate the price & blade steels!! Grr, it's a real problem.. 😉 Thanks for watching & Stay Sharp!!
I’m starting to believe my old PM2 was defective. Mine wouldn’t hold a edge good at all. I don’t care how it looks as long as it cuts and I don’t understand why people play with knives. I tried it and it annoyed me a lot. I do have ADHD and repetitive noises bother me didn’t finish the video.
The pole you put into the fly is actually the main pole for the tent that goes down the middle. You had them reversed, I made the same mistake when doing mine. The screen porch is too tight and will not fasten to the ground properly if you've done it that way.
I dont even have one (yet) , and i hate this thing !!! Why???? I just realized ive spent hundreds of dollars on knives that i thought i needed and know my eyes been opened up to mmmmm, ya i could have saved money and TIME ! Time i could habe been learning more skills!! Thanks!! Made me laugh!
So sorry for your situation. These blades are infuriating! You're adding to our misery by showing us all other, good reasons, to hate The Moras!! Thanks for watching & commenting!! Stay Sharp!!
Thanks so much for the pack break-down. Really helped me to prepare for my hike this year. Just curious what the total pack weight was? It's just so hard to take the exact right amount of stuff!
Good Day! Thank you for watching!! So glad to hear that this content may have helped you. With 3L of water the pack was 36lbs. Sorry for mixing the metric but this seems to be the way we understand in Canada. 😉 We truly hope your experience will be.. Fundy!! We feel it should be like that other "f" word.. But instead mean "epic" - "singular" - "brutal" - "rewarding" - "bleak" - "joyous"... What does "Fundy" mean to you? To us it also means "Gratitude" &.. "Stay Sharp"!!!
Thanks for watching! We are in a spot with Canadian Tire & Bass Pro so they are a first try. Local outdoors shops sometimes have a can on a shelf in the back and general stores on secondary routes to destinations like Provincial or Federal Parks can be a surprise. Fuels often carry a DG or Dangerous Goods surcharge.. Hope this helps & that you.. Stay Sharp!! Thanks for commenting!!
Thanks for watching & this solid advice! With all of that edge retention.. I'd lose the fun of sharpening too..! Stupid Spyderco!! Stay Sharp & Subscribe, it's complementary!
This is a terrible development!! Storm Trooper PM2 with Cruwear?!?! Knives & Star Wars!?! When will the madness end?? Stay Sharp and Subscribe? It's complementary!!
Thank you for the kind words. We appreciate your watching & commenting. Our sense of humor does not always hit the mark but it's gratifying that you enjoyed the joke. Stay Sharp and Subscribe? It's complementary & who knows, we might tickle that intellect again! Stay Sharp!

Thanks for watching! It's always nice to be affirmed but the content speaks for itself. If you own a PM2.. Sorry. Thank you for commenting & Stay Sharp!!
