I removed the click and flattened it to carry it inside my wallet. I also haven't had the coating issue others are reporting even after 2 of heavy use so ymmv
Nice idea, makes sense. Yep, that's kind of what I was getting at - is that the QC isn't good enough. So whilst there are some that are fine, there are too many that are not. If SOG could make it without flaws reliably, then I'd get one again! Cheers.

Most button locks u have to use light pressure when pushing the button my civivi qubit is the same way when u press to hard ur squeezing the scales together around the button lock. Or at least that's what I think is happening. Glad to hear the action is snappy on this on I really like the looks of it
@@Shifftymking Interesting theory. This one is a funny one. If I deploy it 50 times, 30 times the blade will release in a predictable, logical, enjoyable manner. But the onther 20 times, it requires you shove your finger nail right down onto the button as far as it’ll go else it won’t budge at all. TBF after playing with it for probably 30 mins total now, it’s more predictable and releases at that expected point, quite early and *doesn’t* require you jam your finger nail right down into it. Overall it’s still a good purchase and I think it’ll improve over time like a good wine. Cheers !

Nah man, nowhere near the level of the real deal. Sorry they never quite get it right. Not to mention you are supporting the theft of someones hard work by promoting these. EMPEDC is a small business that puts out some amazing designs. The guy has had a huge impact on the knife world. If you have never tried a real EMPEDC knife, you should.
Hi Jason, Thanks for the feedback. I agree that they are thieving from a small company and that I lined the pockets of a thief. And that's a shitty thing to do. For example, there are clones of the DCC Magblade! which, considering that was a Kickstarter project, is too much for me. They may die cos of such clones. However in the real World, I simply cannot afford a $300+ Relative and I wanted to try one. What am I to do? Anyway, if you cared to read my video's description, I link to an unbelievably detailed comparison of the OG and the clone by a vastly experienced Redditor who concluded that the clone is superior and due to his vast experience, I am inclined to trust his word. And as you recommend, if I come into some money, I will look for a real EMP EDC on knife_swap for sure. Cheers.
All I see in the link is a guy talking about clones and showing 0 side by side. This leads me to find the whole thing as suspicious, in that it's a schill for AliExpress if not the clone seller themselves. Buying the clone is bad enough, promoting it as better than the original is really insulting to the Designer and those of us that do own them. And it's just incorrect, from the skinny out of proportion clip, to the missing jimping, and poorly chamfered edges, and texture transition, and that is just what I can see straight away, I am sure they messed it up more up than just that. I get it we don't all have endless EDC funds, and I'm sure you are a good guy that wants to justify a crappy purchase.

I’ve been debating one. How is it holding up? I like a stiffer lock bar and detent. So it was that way out of the box? Was difficult to tell from the description if it was really a titanium framelock 100%. Thanks mate!
I don't think so as I ordered it from Mojave who are Kizers eBay seller. Also, I should post a follow up but I adjusted the lockbar tension and now it is absolutely fantastic.

Or is there a specific way to open this very unusual and brave knife? Finally, thank you for making such knives. They please me no-end, in a sea of mildly-designed [typically drop-point] framelocks and liner locks that are all visually basically the same. Please keep making ones like this that break the mould!!!

Cool. Interestingly for me, this front flipper is perfect - exactly how I like them: unobtrusive, and it doesn't hit your closed fingers when it rotates around, plus it's a dream for top flipping which is about the most fun way to deploy a knife, I'm finding.
I took my dremel and opened up the clip side around the hole for better access. At an angle so the micarta was still blocking the lock bar but so that I’m able to get my finger in better.
Unfortunately, this is the fate of damascus steel. Very fragile. This is the designer's mistake, you can't use such a fragile material so thin like that.
I like this knife. I greatly enjoy the Razel! I have a gmt, very thankful for it. Cause to me the crkt razel's not that nice. Just wish Petrified fish would make a Xl. Or the Knife Designer had other designs with a larger blade. I follow them on Instagram just incase
Not expensive!.?? The original dragonfly is 98euro+ shipping for basic steel. For H1 110€ and the premium k9 steels its 140 euro.idk how much you can get them in the states but for Europe it’s killing prices.I bought one from ok knives for 12 euro. I believe its a good way to check if i like it as knife and worths the hype or if it’s just the American support for US made products. If i get that excited with the clone when i use it i could always purchase a k9 for better edge retention. Having in mind that i bought a para3 knifejoy limited run for an arm and a leg and i hate it as a knife, i thought to myself that it would be better to check the clone first.
Mine arrived a few days ago, pretty happy! $9. all screws are tight, good and sharp, solid lock up. Can't really tell any difference from the original that I lost. The opening will smooth out. Bought two, but OK knives now taken down their spyderco stuff so I guess someone caught up with them. Also got a micarta shaman, pretty flawless for $25, that'll be my knife needs covered for the next ten years or so.
I've been trying to find one but with no success, all have been removed from dhgate and AE...I contacted one seller which sold c28's and wasn't banned with hope that I can maybe get one
