Bri in having a terrible time trying to get my rebuild started. That ground stud on the passenger side...I swore I unhooked a large ground wire from there, after getting my truck back there nothing grounded there and the stuff wasn't put back in. I ended up grounding the negative to the block but I had a #6 orange welding wire (probably a DLO) there at one point and now nothing. What was there when you undid everything?
Great video thanks for all the help on the removal. I feel real bad man I live in Iowa, but my car is originally from Arizona so there’s no rust. It’s beautiful underneath all the plastic not even the rivet plastic clips have rusted yet they’re still factory plated in their brass color.
Excellent video. Every single other video I could find was about replacing the whole assembly rather than just the bulb. "Typical Ford fashion" 😂. I'd give you two thumbs up if I could.
You. Are. Killing. Me. 😂 Thx for posting, your video making me ultra nostalgic. I just now posted up old VHS of my 1989 (bought new!)... and now I am browsing RU-vid wishing so BAD that I still had it. Keep having fun man!
Just took mine out tonight 👍🏻. I don’t normally daily drive mine but I’ve had stretches where I’ve had to 1-2 weeks at a time. Mostly when some of the other vehicles in the fleet are down. I can always really on my Fox, which is also the oldest vehicle in the fleet. Top down and banging gears always puts a smile on my face.
Yeah I just figured out the problem. The replacement carb I ordered didn't have a main jet inside the fuel nozzle. I'm surprised it ran at all like that.
Use a pry bar on the a arm to push the arm down. The spring will not pop out. You will need to grab it and pull it out wile you have down pressure on the a arm. Have a friend help. One puts the bown pressure, the other pulls the spring. Easy. Same prosses to replace the spring.
