Going on Saturday, really hope we can get 3 points but not convinced we will. Need Clarke-Salter and Colback back desperetely. Drop Madsen and Anderson too, be interesting with Fox back to see if we go to a back 5 but cant see it. Im going for a 2-2 scoreline with chair getting a late equaliser, we will see.......
my big concern is that without JCS and Colback we cant operate.....Well Colback is prone to the odd sending off and JCS has the odd injury and could still be being looked at by others. Madsen, Andersen and Field are not performing. Varane hasnt settled. Dembele and Saito have gone off the boil, we are not scoring goals and we are lightweight at the back.........the keeper looks useful tho !
For me the key is intensity, we need up to up it hugely in all areas of the pitch. Whatever the formation or the team selection. Hopefully the 3pm ko will help us COYR’s !
Too many players that are not of Championship Standard. As I predicted before the season started, disaster lays ahead. We still do not have a Consistent Striker. The Opposition just have to apply pressure for about 10 or 15 minutes and we Crumble. I am a Lifelong QPR Supporter and Always will be. This is horrible to see and I really do hope I am Wrong.
Interesting analysis Hoopsa, I agree that the midfield needs strengthening with a change to a formal 433 formation rather than the failing 4231. Against Hull we found ourselves with a 415 formation which opened us up to the diagonal long ball putting our defence on the back foot. Currently our attack is so slow that when we get into the final third the opposition have 10 men behind the ball, leading to our high total of blocked shots and raised shots over the crossbar. Unless Marti changes tactics with this current crop of players we are in for a very long season with no light at the end of the season.
I’m really disappointed that he’s regressed so much. Martí added goals to his game last season, but he’s returned to being a pretty limited footballer.
Forensic and balanced. Great job. My read of yr vid is: 1. Get a few hard lads who can pass in midfield (Hayden), 2. get back the decent defence (JCS) and 3. give time for the attack to come good (ie give Celar some service?)...fingers crossed we see this in the next two games before the tough matches that follow!
Some great stats/observations in the video, I think it'll be down to "has the recruitment worked", too early to tell probably but the signs aren't great. keep up the good work
I’m sorry everyone but all I can see is QPR 1 Pompey 1 followed by QPR 0 Coventry 3. Really hope I’m wrong but we are not as good as we think we are!? 🤷🤦♂️
It feels like Portsmouth is an absolute must win even at such an early stage of the season. If we can't beat a team like that at home then I really fear for us
Stats mean absolutely nothing if our data analysts are not following them or reacting to them but then these are the same data analysts who evidently thought Madsen and Andersen were the answers to our prayers.
Hi Hoopsa. According to the stats from last season, Qpr had one of the oldest squads in the championship. Qpr model? Bring in younger players, develop them and sell them on for a profit. All well and good if the team is climbing up the table, buts its not. Yes it will take to get the best out of these players, but what if they're simply not good enough. What im trying to say, have we really recruited well?
It’s hard to judge. Frey is the perfect example - it took him eight months at the club to really show any kind of form. Some of these young players could take years. Whether we’ll have the luxury of playing them until that stage is another point completely.
I sincerely appreciate that stats may give us hope. I base it on intuition and trend. We are currently on a losing trend and our last game was dire to watch. We haven't got all the players we had last season & that's the problem and Chair may be off to greener grasses...In order to be a good manager you need a good team
This is QPR. We always win the games we fear we'll be battered in and muck up the ones we should win. I expect us to beat Burnley because it would be the most QPR thing to do in a bad run.
Will be there on Saturday once again, be the 5th time I’ve been in 10 league games even tho I live 2.5 hours away. Same thing happened last year and when I stopped going, we started winning. Starting to get a complex…. Jokes aside. This is a very winnable game, anything other than a win is unacceptable.
I can’t make the game on Saturday so we’re guaranteed a win. We definitely look way better than under Gareth last year but if this goes on too long confidence could become a significant factor.
Big game Saturday don't win this we r in big trouble no goals and no creative play the midfield is slow if we are hanging our hat on colback God help us marti is to stubborn
I really enjoyed the interview well done for doing your footballing homework..... QPR need to seriously consider getting Issac back he was the cement of the team last season. I think the team needs him, as their attack is at sixes and sevens. He is a very good pro and can certainly stabilize the team. I like the man's attitude he has a good character.
I think the club made a huge mistake not signing Hayden. He was essential to the spine of the team last season and we are missing his strength and ability in the team. The whole Reggie thing makes no sense as Marti had already dropped him.
We definitely need him back. Sometimes you need your Cooks Haydens and Colbacks to actually anchor a side so the young prospects can flourish. Hayden is very much the missing piece, and it has become very obvious.
This is a coup for your channel mate no idea how you pulled this off but fair play! Seems like a great lad be great if rangers can get him back in jan, chair next 😊
