i can't believe i was having so many problems with the lossless scaling app and my settings and this 7 month old video of settings actually fixed all my issues. i NEVER ever put the terrain level below 100 - and my RTX was not able to work with frame generation. I literally put it on 70 and it made my sim ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. Thanks for the video and the idea man!
Thank you very much! I'm running the SIM with an RTX 4070 and an I7 11700F, with 32 gigs of DDR4 RAM. Before I maxed the terrain level of detail to 400 during a VFR Flight (not the smartest option) because I didn't see any performance impact, but I did not notice the VRAM usage and when I tried tò spawn in Frankfurt with my A320 the SIM Just kept crashing, and if It didn't crash I was getting 15 FPS. I tried your settings and the problem was solved. In my opinioni the performance Is more importante that the graphics, but I figured out this rule: small prop Planes and VFR Flight, max out graphics, VATSIM and big payware airports, low graphics.

Yes, you're right. It seems like people are too cut up on how certain things look, and I realize that these are separated missions, but we need to focus on the general experience of the sim. Which Microsoft hasn't show any.
Yeah, the file has been updated since the first version so now when you put it in, it doesn’t show the pop off so it’s just appears on your settings so you should be all fine

Can’t remember it’s been more than a month since I did that video but I’m pretty sure I filled it to the top and I didn’t include the cargo but I did include the passengers. I reduce my index 5 as I took off I went straight to the highest, cruising altitude, to save fuel cheers

not working for me, the game just crashes on launch, when i change to DX11 it launches but option not available, ive tried everything, the only thing i have installed is reshade, could that affect it? i have a RTX 2080 ti 11gig
thanks dude, got it working eventually, getting a 20-30FPSincrease MSFS on 2080ti. Issue was Reshade, uninstalled and it worked straight away. I had an odler reshade version so I updated and downloaded the latest version and reinstalled to MSFS (do not select Open XR on install, only DX 11/12) alll works together
Seriously, get yourself a RTX 4000 series GPU with 12 GB or more VRAM. Image generation is an exclusive feature on 4000 series and it fixes all those stuttering and so on. Never had a similar smooth flight simming experience on any sim or rig in the past 20 years.
No, definitely if anyone can afford it they should definitely go straight to it 40s but for some users that just updated to the 3000 this is the best option
After a month of using, I've got pop up error after 1-2 hours of flight: "Your graphic device has encountered a problem and the application will exit. Error: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (0x887a0006). This could be due to either of: 1) a driver fault 2) an application bug 3) graphic card overheating 4) graphic card overclocking. IMPORTANT: You appear to be using DirectX 12, whose support is still in BETA. The error may disappear when switching back to DirectX 11. Anyone? please. This is frustrated.
It Hass to be directx12 it’s very hit or miss when it comes dx12 it affects the video memory usage, on the sim so that’s why there’s some settings that I took down to save on video memory

Please help: 1. No previous mod whatsoever. Installing latest dlsgg (unviersal) 0.9 by putting just those 2 dll files in my C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator folder. 2. Scheduled GPU etc. enabled in windows 10. 3. Open simulator, frame generator on, v-sync deactivated. Dx12 on. Restart simulator. Going from previous TAA with no frame generation and dx11, to frame generation on and dx12 will make my fps drop from 50 to 20. What am I missing? EDIT: RTX3070 and flying in 4k. Could it be a vram issue?
Yes it is a VRAM issue. I am using DX11 myself on an RTX 2080TI because DX12 maxed out my 11GB VRAM thus resulting in the jittering. Only way you can really use FG on these cards with less VRAM is lowering the resolution to 2k. There is just no fix around it. Even at minimum settings in 4k my the game is still demanding over 12 GB of VRAM.

Yea, I have the same graphic card, an EVGA RTX 3080Ti 12GB Ram and the same Fenix A320 Aeroplane. But the issue I am having is when I have an open window on the screen like the Map or the Camera option screen etc. it starts to jitter with FG and I don't like that. Also, I can't seem to get 60 FPS. Only 29 to mid 30ish. It must be some of the addons I have install..I have many small little addons like birds flying around, new taxiway graphics and taxi signs. That could be my issue with FPS.
hello @215pilot6 im having an issue with the installation of the mod, i followed the instructions to a T, yet, i am not getting the message popping up at first when launching the game, nor am i getting the option to toggle frame generation, However, i do have the ability to toggle AMD FSR (which has replaced DLSS in the setting menu). when running the game, i struggle to get half of the frame rate i normally get with my 3060 and I7-9700k both of which are overclocked. when running without the mod installed i can get around 30-40FPS on a normal day, however with the mod installed i get 15 if im lucky. I've tried everything i can think of to influence the performance, but nothing has worked. i messed around with the nvidia control panel and that did nothing either. I am not sure what the issue is, but frankly the mod has been more of a frame-halfer than a frame-generator. i think the fact that i dont get the message popping up when launching with the mod installed has something to do with it, but im at the end of my rope at this point. Hope you can help
Make sure you’re running in direct 12 and that you installed the reg file, with the current update the message doesn’t come up when you open the same it should appear on the Settings page
I have a 3080ti and a 12900K and normally get around 35FPS when flying in dense Scenery with high FPS impacts and Tobii Eye Tracking turned on. With this MOD enabled that drops to about 26FPS. There is noticable Shimmer at times although the Panning is VERY VERY Smooth mostly. With Dev MODE Turned on the Overlays Flicker badly and I notice a distinct difference in the reported FPS between MSFS Devmode and NVidia Control Panel FPS. For me, there is not enough Visual Gain to use the MOD. I make heavy use of POPOUTS for the G1000 G3000 and GTN750NXI and there is a solid FPS frame rate increase when those panels are NOT popped out with the MOD enabled. When they are enabled the FPS I see with the Mod enabled is lower that without the Frame Generation Mod. I will move on to try the Island SIM technique.
