Hi! My name is Summer. I am a 24-year-old nontraditional college student trying to navigate my 20s, student teaching, struggles of education, and documenting my life journey. This is my life in visuals, twenties-something vlogs, nontraditional college student, reviews, and tons of chatting videos

As a 14 year teacher, it is always best to be FIRM from the beginning. Start now if you haven't already. FIRM but FAIR has always worked. You also get more respect from the students when they know you are firm.
Love this! My mom is a teacher and I plan on going into teaching when I graduate. She was a student teacher for a year (and had to pay to become one( and didn’t get paid and had to work two other jobs to pay the bills
The Educative Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA) is a portfolio-based assessment that evaluates a prospective teacher's readiness for a full-time teaching position.
@@SummerBaileyI’m in a 5th grade classroom. I’m finishing this December and it’s hard learning the material for the standards 😅. I also prefer younger children but I couldn’t really choose the grade I wanted so I just have to deal with that.
im transferring fall 25 from a community college and have no clue how this process works 😭. I dont know anyone at app but I will have my own car. would you recommend on or off campus housing?
I dont see alot of natural hair videos anymore or at least dont get recommendations. I'm over spending hundreds dollars on products that dont work. Focused on keeping it simple so for me personally, it is fading.
You probably don't get enough credit but i just want to say that we appreciate your content and the effort you put . It's not easy doing it consistently but you still do ,we really appreciate you
For me, I attended a four year university for my first bachelor's degree. The went to another four year university (both were highly respected) for my master's degree. All in business. At age 50 I decided to become a RN. I attended a community college for my pre-reqs, as I did not take the science route prior because my focus was business. The first day of class the instructor told us that he also taught at the very same very highly respected university that I obtained my master's degree from. I was completely sold at that point. Also, the community college tutoring center was awesome and extremely easy to participate with, at no extra cost. I passed all my classes with a B or better. I was easily accepted into a university to complete the nursing major and graduated with a bachelor's in nursing. The most important point is that when one attends a community college (two years give or take, transfers those credits to a university, completes the university requirements (usually also about two years), and graduates from that university; nowhere on that university degree does not say you spent two years at a community college. The degree says your name and your degree, etc. with that UNIVERSITY'S name at the top. You have a full four year university degree that you paid two years of that degree at a fraction of the cost of full four year university credits. You have just saved a MINIMUM of 60% to 75% the cost of your university degree. This is the best deal ever!!!
@@6686Andrea This is such a great idea. I did sign up to be a sub, but the district I am in you have to do that months in advance or that can’t get you in. What grade did you do for student teaching?
@@SummerBailey my experience is in middle school. My school at the time didn't require me to student teach bc I was a "floating" education assistant. They used that and my small groups as that experience for student teaching hours. Where I love it doesn't take that long to become a sub. When I moved, I signed up to be a sub in county and city. By August I was subbing by December I was hired as a long term sub in high school. By October I was finally in my full time teaching position after moving for 7th grade.
I noticed that most of these things aren’t listed on your Mercari.. Did you change your mind? I’m interested in quite a few of them!! Oh & The Mane Choice Gel-Ato is being sold on the original owner’s site now.. not on The Mane Choice!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's always valuable to hear different perspectives on the natural hair community. I've noticed some business owners expressing concerns about declining sales in natural hair products. It's interesting to see how the industry is evolving. Do you think there are specific challenges or changes that might be contributing to this shift?
Declining sales... Inflation is driving a lot of us to sacrifice quality hair products to pay our mortgages I'm also seeing a lot of naturals, even some influencers, go back to the products they grew up with rather than products specifically geared towards natural hair
This is a great practice I use too :) I remember reading in a small book, I think it was called 30 Days to Reduce Depression by Harper Daniels, an exercise to clean something slowly. Not to rush the process, but to clean gently and slowly and very attentively. It helped me a lot, to slow down and be more relaxed.
