Apparently not - For a knock-on, the ball must come off hand or arm, not any other part of the body - not the head, not the chest, not the stomach, not the thigh, not the knee.
However I did zoom in on the video and although it hits the knee quite hard it comes through the arms so could have well hit them coming down, never mind was only training 👍
Needs to be fair throw over head and no dummies, ref would call for a re throw. These laws are explained on world rugbys website. This move would make you look silly in a reffed match
Had a few high level refs and players say it’s legal, the question is it one fluid motion, otherwise could be classed as a fake throw, it’s straight, goes 5m would be down to the ref
As long as the ball crosses the 5M line and pass is backwards to supporting thrower, you're good to go. There's no requirement for Hooker to throw the ball over their head, that just works better for arching throw for traditional lifted jumpers....
@@tiatandy4552 For a quick throw to the front, underarm is always much quicker and more accurate. Just a standard pass from the hip. You can always do the overhead cocked position initially to dummy opponents into setting up for the jump, but you need to have the rest of your lineout engaging opponents so they think it's a standard throw.. ...
