So some observations that may help with your speed and tire ware. You're turning too much with your wheel, and not enough with your brakes and throttle. When you're cutting your wheel hard left sometimes all the way to 90 degrees, you're chewing up that right front tire, so over the long run you're really really going to slow down. If you turn in slightly earlier and hit the brakes and let the brakes rotate the car, then modulate the brakes with your wheel to get the car aligned where you want it, it will save your right front a bunch and at the same time allow you to enter the turn much much faster. Right before apex and even slightly after, you want to be almost fully off your brakes and getting your wheel straight, and then use your throttle to rotate the car using micro corrections on the wheel to get it pointed in the right direction. It's a lot like corner entry but even more controlled. Then just adjust your brake pressure or throttle pressure later in runs to compensate for the tire ware and heat buildup. I'll be on tonight again tonight around the same time I was last night if you want some help. Just hit me up buddy. See ya on the track!
Thanks. Yeah at this point I'm just trying to run a contact free race to improve my ratings. Once I'm in a class with drivers that can hold a line, I'll go for performance/positions lol
Unfortunately after an hour the video stopped recording. I finished P2 after a good battle during the last few laps with the leader. He was able to hold me off with help from a lapped teammate just in time.
We can set up a try out session. If approved you would have to start in our xfinity series until you earn your way to the cup series. We race custom setups, 50% race length, at 2x wear. If you are interested, tell us your gamer tag and we’ll set something up.
