Welcome to Five Points of Articulation, where I review action figures and then articulate five points to help you decide if you want to add that figure to your collection! The five points I articulate are Packaging, Presentation, Poseability, Playability, and Price! You'll also find toy news, unboxings, and editorials on all things action figure!
This is a nice coincidence. I've literally just finished watching The Satanic Rites Of Dracula (TBH it's not great and Lee is only in it for around 15 minutes, but I'm a sucker for Hammer horror movies).
I kinda love that one, mostly because the movie calls itself out for not making sense at the end. Check out Dracula 1972 AD for one that's just plain fun.
Jada Toys Lead Designer Juhn Lim said that making sure the SF line scaled well with GI Joe Classified and Marvel Legends was an important consideration and intentional decision to recreate crossovers like MvC and the 90s GI Joe Street Fighter line. Now, I just hope that eventually they can get the Mortal Kombat license, so we can get 6inch scale MK figures based on MK1-3. I'm tired of 7in MK figures based on the new games. Plus I'd love to see Fei Long vs MK1 version Liu Kang.
good review, looks amazing, McFarlane really should make some more villains, I only remember seeing Dr. Pyg by browsing some of the Batman comicbooks at trainstation bookstores (and in Batman Arkham Knight), haven't completely read this story.
I really wish McFarlane figures would stop releasing figures that only have one gripping hand and the other a fisted hand. Why can’t they have multiple hand swaps?
Due to the shorter nature of 7in Damian figures, pop a smaller head and he could work as a taller, older Damian for 6in figures. You could also make him shorter by kitbashing some shorter legs as his legs look a lil disproportionately too long.
Is it wrong to say that McFarlane releasing Steph as Batgirl along with this Damian would have made more sense? I don't necessarily know how McFarlane chooses what characters to release, but they released the Rebirth Deathstroke along with this, which is already in two separate eras. Making and releasing Batgirl Steph also would have been a nice tie in, since her Batgirl series is getting a reprinting. While I understand McFarlane wouldn't necessarily align with stuff like that, it would have been good marketing at both ends. Anyway, that was too much of an off topic, so I will add that I always love your videos and tune into each one, even though I don't comment :') You always provide good insight into the figures and review them thoroughly, while bringing humor into your content that make me watch for the characters/series I don't necessarily even know <3
Thanks so much for the kind words! I would love a Stephanie. Honestly, I want multiple Stephanies. I want her as Batgirl, Spoiler, and from her short stint as Robin.
@@5POAFigureReviews Yes! All versions of Stephanie would be perfect and very idealistic :') Sadly, I don't see McFarlane doing anything beyond her Spoiler suit. (Hope they prove us wrong one day).
Only thing with Vampire Damian is the glove style is very different. They have those longer Infinite Frontier cuffs. Not a deal breaker but won't match the style
Wish we had a comparison with Wonder Woman, since Damian just guest-starred in her comic. Basically a hilarious competition to see who could coax intel out of Captain Boomerang since Diana is without her lasso.
Another channel was reviewing this Robin and saying it's the first "good" Mcfarlane Robin. Long story short I disagreed and I pretty much said I love every Mcfarlane Robin so far. Every Robin I have is awesome especially the Robin King. Am I wrong? I personally would like to have the platinum white cape version of this particular Robin. He's sick😎
The only Robin McFarlane has made that I dislike is the Amazon version of the Tim Drake where they couldn't be bothered to replace his arms and just had red cuffs over a red arm. But even that one has a good head. I think there is something to like about all of them
