Hi! I’ll be in Pattaya together with my brother in a few weeks. I’ve watched a few of your videos (I know nothing about golf and I’m watching them from the start to the end, you have to be doing something right 🙌🏼) and I guess you’re the right person to ask this question. What would you recommend for two total newbies to golf. I mean never had a golf club in their hands. We’d have let’s say two days for golf in Pattaya, to learn some basics. Any recommendations for a golf class?
Thanks for the comment, You don't want to be put off so avoid the tough golf courses, less chance of losing a ball or two :). Would recommend these courses, Burapha, Greenwood, Pattaya Country Club, Pleasant Valley, Get at lesson at Pattaya Sports Club Golf Centre, Indoor two bays GC3 launch monitors (There the best), did a video on that facility as well so just click on that video to see more. Golf Instructor is Charlie and he can introduce you to one of the Society and just give you some direction and guide on golf in Pattaya, all is welcome don't worry if you never played before, you will get a discount playing with a society, great bunch of guys and enjoy the drinks of plenty at the 19th Hole!!!!!!!
Just purchased the 10K and it’s my first Ping driver. Coming from an older Srixon draw biased head, the lower spin numbers, overall consistency in dispersion is what sold me. I was up around mid 3000s spin on the Srixon; with the new 10K I’m well below 2400. My club head speed is around 100-105 max so I can attest to those spin numbers shown in your test. I cannot wait to go play a round on my home course and see those carry distances. I too with range balls was coming up with about 250/260 carry which was significantly more from the Srixon driver. I was fitted into the Alta 55 CB shaft in stiff. Glad to see I’ve done right by purchasing the newer Ping model 10K.
Glad you enjoyed the video, What drove me to the new purchase was the need for a new shaft so thought "may as well buy the new driver 10K", hahahaha, the test 6 where I used the new head in the old Alta CB shaft was like, ok driver head gives more or less extra 10 yard carry so certainly more spring and lower spin of this head, would not rule out a Tour Chrome shaft as for me that bought an extra 10 yards so more or less 20 yards gained with new driver head tech and correct shaft for trajectory. Probably make another test of the Tour Chrome Shaft in the old G430 head just to finalize I was for sure losing some carry due to the shaft. Will be getting the G430 3 Wood so will make a video on that as well in the near future :)
@@gillgarethHave you had to use any of the Flat settings on the G430 10K head? When I went for my fitting on the standard lie/9* I was consistently making contact out the heel side and still showing decent spin numbers and yardages. Once I purchased, I took to the range and tried the Flat/9* setting and was straight on middle of the face. I observed excellent dispersion, much tighter and ball speed jumped into the 150s.
Thanks for the update Gareth, been a while since I’ve been there but looking forward to playing it tomorrow and seeing the changes. Always the best of the 3 courses for me.
