A year ago I bought the Proxima Scuba 🤿 Master watch thinking it would satisfy my Marine Master craving. Just last week I got the real deal the limited edition SLA047J1. For what you pay the Proxima is a decent watch but next to the Seiko Marine Master it’s laughable. The Seiko Marine Master is the best watch I’ve ever owned seen period . There’s nothing that compares to it .
@@1968jpy The Marine Master is a very (!) nice watch and as close as you can get to Grand Seiko level within the Seiko line. It has different design cues compared to Swiss divers. That is, of course, a matter of taste. The Marine Master is a classic by its own right, however, a standard Submariner feels more premium... if you desire that in a dive watch.

At the end of the day it’s what watch is your grail or dream watch to own. As a Seiko fan boy the MM300 has forever been my grail and dream watch to own and now that I do I couldn’t be happier.
The Yamaha PSR-S770 has 512 Megabyte of wave ROM (NAND flash) thereof 160 Megabyte reserved for expansion voices. The PSR-SX600 only has 100 Megabyte reserved for expansion voices, however, it has more S.Art and Mega voices. That would suggest it also has a 512 Megabyte wave ROM. It is a pity that Yamaha opted against upgrading the concert grand piano voice to S.Art on the SX600. However, it is quite understandable, because they needed a clear differentiation from the higher models of the SX-line. It would also be interesting, if the SX600 has a SWP70 tone generator chip. I will look for a service manual to check that. Because this chip is the tone generator for PSR-S770. It is conceivable that SX600 uses a higher compression, thus having a smaller physical wave ROM.

I completely agree with one caveat, G. Kern Breitling is a hard no. I remember very well the late 90s, when it was more a matter of taste if you were wearing a Chronomat or a Submariner. At that time, pre-owned GMT Masters (Pepsi) were lying around in the dozens at watch fairs.

Since last year, I am getting calls from ADs for watches I had on my list a couple of years ago like 116518LN, 228238... And even in the "hot" phase of the market (starting late 2020), ADs had inventory in steel sports models. They just were very selective to whom they sold it to. I have seen a nicely stocked safe in a Rolex Boutique first hand. Also I can remember very well the calls after two weeks of having put forth my interest in a certain model:" We have fantastic news, Sir, another client has canceled his order and your Sea-Dweller/Explorer 1/... which is very hard to get, would be available for you to pick it up." as late as in 2019. Or the famous line:" Due to an extremely fortunate circumstance, we have one Yachtmaster in blue in the back. Exactly the model you were asking about."
You are right. For a DJ 36mm is the perfect size. The dial works best with that size, a classic design. For the AT design 41.5 is a fitting size. Since I own(ed) both watches in the video, I can say, the AT does not feel inferior to the DJ. @@followyourpassion8378 I own the 38mm AT and 36mm DJ. In terms of the watch, correct, the AT is not inferior. But the Omega bracelet is. Rolex makes the better bracelet (or they bought out the company that does, I should say)
To get a metronome click: - Cubase: Route the metronome as a MIDI click to your keyboard channel 10. - Cubasis: Create a MIDI track routed to your keyboard channel 10 and put notes (e.g. stick and hihat) for every downbeat. When recording the audio file on your keyboard, turn the clicktrack/metronome off.
wow...love it...i am the proud owner of a wooden dgt and dgt pi that is getting a little dated but would never sell. I like the look of some of these newer boards and their functionality. Wish dgt would would give us an upgrade at some point. Cheers
The Mephisto Phoenix is a joy to play with. I especially like the medium sized board with it. You are right. Unfortunately it is not possible to play black from the bottom. The Mephisto Mondial is from 1985 and was a budget choice (though by no means cheap) even then, hence it only has a 16k program ROM and many comfort functions are missing. But it is still a nice adversary today. For example, the program of my Montreal 68000 is from 1987 (Mephisto Roma), has a 64k ROM and of course you can play black from the bottom.
2:37 - I hear ghosts (contrary to seeing ghosts on the chessboard) - thanks for unboxing - i think that gaining elo in games against engine is not good of a measure because engines in the same position (usually) play the same moves that you can just learn how to refute :) eg. you can make a draw and against 3500 rated oponent you will become 3500 rated :) but you wont be able to win against garbage players :). Maybe it just plays garbage plys in the 1500 region i dont know.
Shredder actually does a good job of adapting to an Elo strength, it was playing at around 1200 in the moment you are refering to. But I get what you mean. On the Phoenix you have very different engines that can be set to an approximate Elo value. If you can beat them conistently at a certain rating, your chess against a human opponent will reflect that.
In this time how is it possible they make such a dull (and complicated) screen. Just like Millennium did with their computers. And I think €1200,- is a very big price.
Since the screen is mostly used for selecting or analysing, it works for me and it makes a lot of functionality accessible. To be honest, I really have to concentrate on the board to beat this thing. 🙂 I just glance at the screen to see the clock in timed games. As a collector, you know how hard it can be to track down those old chess computers in good working order. So I really appreciate having a variety of them available on a modern board.

@@followyourpassion8378 Yeah - now i am seeing influencers with all these new plastic machines :), recently some "nuts" are being observed. To be honest at the time of regium i was thinking that all of that is feasible - the high speed trains are using EM forces to move along - but i estimated that the "working" example should weight at least around 3-4 KG so that all of the pieces could move along at the same time :) with the presented speed and weight of a single piece :)
Actually, they do offer a higher quality, weighted set of pieces: computerchess.com/en/Executive-chess-piece-set-for-40-cm-Exclusive-chessboards/M829 But I chose the standard set, because I happen to like the German knight 🙂 It is good to have the option. When the DGT Revelation II was still in production, you could also choose the Timeless set or a more expensive one like Royal or Ebony.

I would avoid this like the plauge. The rfid sensors they use are complete garbage. When i bought it 6 were failed straight out of the box. Another failed while waiting for the replacement pieces.

To which version are you refering? Also, customer service dealt with such problems immediately in my experience. I did own Certabo, do own Chessnut Pro, DGT and Millennium boards. And so far, Millennium has the best experience for online chess. What is interesting, my ChessGenius Exclusive board (first generation) never had these RFID issues. @followyourpassion8378 It was the older generation of the board, which was also warped and wouldn't sit flat, They may have changed the rfid chips in the newer version... But I doubt it. No mention of different chips in the specs. I agree their customer service was good but the product they provided was just flat out bad. I really hope for buyers of the new version they have stepped up their game.
@@drgonzo4909 In my (this) video you see the new version. You see me unpacking it for the first time and playing a couple of games. There were absolutely no quirks. I will try to check, if they have changed anything in the specs to solve the RFID issue for good.
*** IMPORTANT MESSAGE *** As promised, I checked back with Millennium 2000. They were very open about the issue and fast with their reply. SHORT SUMMARY: The issue is completely resolved. New boards are not affected. If you happen to have an older board with a faulty piece, just contact: support@millennium2000.de THE DETAILS, if you are interested: The issue is known to Millennium and only occured with pieces that belong to the board production year 2022. You can check the batch number of your board on the underside of your Supreme Tournament 55. If it begins with 2022xxxx, then you might have been affected. However, if all of your pieces work fine up until now, there is not much to worry about. The issue was caused by a faulty process step on the side of the supplier of the RFID chips, that affected some chips (not all). At first, Millennium reacted to consumer complaints, by switching out the individual faulty pieces. However, when Millennium recognised the problem on the supplier side, they actively switched out the entire piece sets for boards that were still in dealers inventories. Those RFID chips have a lifespan of more than twenty years, so you will enjoy chess on these boards for a long time! I have to say, that I am really impressed, how well Millennium handled these issues and also how well (support) communication with the company works. That is the mark of a reliable and trustworthy company that stands behind its products.
I have the Exlusive with MMV module too. Unfortunately there is something wrong and the power will shut off during playing. I'm looking for someone who can repare that.

Did you try a different ac adaptor yet? And did you check the modules in a different board (exclusive/modular)?

You are right, it is confusing with the two boards, I actually had wanted to put in textboxes "White pieces" and "Black pieces" on the first two pictures of the machines, but couldn't make it work. I recorded it like that, because I wanted to show both computer displays in the Lang vs. Schröder match. Of course, the Roma program (Lang) runs on 16bit with a 64k ROM/ 16k RAM, while the MM V (Schröder) has 8bit and 32k/8k. But Roma is a couple of years older than MM V and processing power is actually comparable, being Roma on a 68000 with 12MHz and MM V on a 65C02 with (almost) 5MHz.

There was a sales promotion for the last couple of weeks: Millennium Supreme 55 + Chess Classics Element for 799€. Unfortunately, it must have ended yesterday. The box is actually pretty handy. Par conséquent, vous devez les réajuster encore et encore. - L’écran ne peut pas être atténué ou éteint. They are, but it is still nice to play with this set. Also, Chessnut has improved the regular pieces in 2024 in terms of weight and size. In the video, the old ones (2023) are featured.

Do you mean online Lichess/chess.com bots? Lichess - yes chess.com - no You will need the ChessLink bluetooth module for this, though. Works like a dream, when you have the luxe edition (cabinet, that holds ChessLink and ChessVolt battery pack). Just press the on switch, connect the board in your ChessLink app and start a game vs human or bot on Lichess. Or connect the board in your chess.com app (Android) directly for games against other members. If you mean offline engines in general - the Chess Classics module holds two engines (The King & ChessGenius), that are very enjoyable to play against. You can set ELO levels and playing styles (i.e. solid or agressive). Or you can connect to HIARCS on iOS (also with ChessLink). Just to name a few options.
Via Bluetooth. DGT PI has Bluetooth on board, it can also connect to the DGT Bluetooth boards without cable. Please check the video description for more details.

Thank you for sharing! Are there any (also wooden) alternatives in your opinion? Just a couple of remarks about my experience with this boards: - Chessnut Pro: Hardware works fine. Software still buggy. Square lights are not distracting, overall a nice playing experience. - Millennium Exclusive: Since ChessLink and ChessVolt are in the cabinet, they don't bother me much. Turning the board for playing black (online) is not a problem. Works really well directly with chess.com app. - DGT eboard: I have 2 USB-mini boards. Both work really well with the DGT PI (for years now). Windows was another story. DGT even offers an upgrade to USB-C kit.

Hi, thanks for the video, I noticed a décoloration of the white squares on your board. I have the same issue on my mephisto MMVI, probably due to the a too long sun exposure. Did you try to fix that?
I do think, it is also due to chemicals/glue on the underside of the pieces. Same with some rubber stands, that will damage the nitro finish of a guitar. I did not fix it. I guess you would need to sand it down and refinish.
I have The "Chess Challenger", 100% clone as you mentioned it. Aware of the "Secret menu" and "fun level bug". Level Fun 6, already, isn't "fun" at all any more...
After years of no use I decided just a few hours ago to play fun level 4 & 5 (buggy) and then tried 6 on my chess challenger to see how buggy this level is and I had the exact same thoughts as you!! 😄 Although at first I wanted and ordered the centurion (I never got it, they never sent it to me) I am very happy with the Chess Challenger, it's so nice! I like it's studies, too!!
@@theodorkonstantinidis7456 What I did - I've put "Challenger" on backburner for awhile and upon watching IM Bartolomew video about his chess computer which catapulted him from beginner to master "Excalibur De Luxe", found online the list of Klones (same engines but different design) and gave it a try, following advices from the video. Somewhere on 30sec level, it's weaker than Chalenger's fun 6 and slightly stronger than fun 5, found the "necessary step" I think...
