Welcome to Undiscovered Classics with Geoff Hacker and Mike Puma, where we find, research, restore, show and sell America’s lost automotive treasures!

Undiscovered Classics focuses on the history behind and the celebration of American handcrafted sports cars from the postwar era. Largely untold, this story and these cars were central to the theme of postwar sports car development and appreciation, influencing design and expectations for Detroit and America in a significant way.

Pretty certain I would give it some headlight pods, paint it white and put a big M on the hood.

@UndiscoveredClassicsUSA
@UndiscoveredClassicsUSA День назад
This is the oldest, true wedge shaped car before the craze took off. I’d suggest you check out the book linked in the video description if you’d like to see more about it in historical context for our case. Also, it just won a coveted special award at the Pebble Beach Concours so it’s historic contribution to the wedge car movement has been further solidified

The audio really sucks on this one, which I’m bummed about. It would have been ready to redo if Geoff and I didn’t live at opposite ends do the country. They’ll be another one on it in the future with the new audio gear that’ll be much better. As far as too much info, the history is very important to us so that’s not something we’d generally dial back

Thanks Mike to you and the Dr. for expanding the exposure and content of the channel through the rebrand and consistent content drops. The education is invaluable. Chronicling builds is particularly interesting. Is there way to arrange a tour? Thanks for your continued efforts to preserve and share these hand build labours of love with the world.

THANK YOU ! Thank you for posting this fantastic look at the car ! I find the design fascinating, and the history talk on the car as well. I'd love to know what the drag coefficient is, but I'm sure it was never tested. * It looks very much like the German "Schlorwagen" , and that car had extremely low drag. I wonder if the designers traded notes on their designs. ( WW2 had not begun yet, so it's possible ) I really like the streamlined design of the guy's house as well. He certainly was a talented man. Thanks again for the talk, and for showing such a detailed look of the car. ( * If you ever have the desire to find out the car's drag number, there is a budget friendly wind tunnel in North Carolina called the A2 windtunnel. )

With those old Ford Wine blocks a lot of times they took up line off the oil pressure sending unit in the back of the motor and put it up in through the valve covers because they were oiled through the cam, and that dirty oil would plug up the passages, so I remember an old guy used to put kerosene and transmission fluid in it and all kinds of stuff at the gas station. I work in when I was a kid in the six days and clean it all out and keep keep doing it until the full 30 waitthey
