Some bird to be hunting teal as well as woodcock .. Do you find you have to only use the throwing method with woodcock just to give the Spar the extra burst of speed ..
Hello, yes, that's correct. The woodcock is too fast to be taken off the fist, and the throwing method speeds the spar up a lot. Its not impossible to catch them from the fist, but this greatly improves your success. The teal at close quarters isn't much of a challenge if you have the right set up to hunt, the biggest problem is the teal bail back to the water more often than not.
I absolutely love the alertmess in their gaze. Almost like an infrared heat seeking technology locking onto the enemy before launch. What a beautiful bird/raptor :)😊😊
