Lifelong gamer doing lifelong gaming stuff. I play many games, mainly across the playstation ecosystem, but also on whatever console/portable nintendo has out, PC steam or windows store stuff, and the very occasional xbox related stuff. I just really like'em, ya' know? This channel is mainly for storing gaming memories over the years.
So I heard. Seems like these unity engine games tend to usually give the older platforms a rough time. To be honest it feels like the PS5 also should be getting instant load times for a game like this, but I'll definitely take what I can get compared to what PS4 and especially switch owners are going through right now.
Even the PS4 takes some time ... less than the switch but still after looking at the PS5 loading its much faster .... probably if you installed an SSD on your PS4 then it might get considerably faster but can't know for sure it'll be better than the PS5
I wonder why Konami doesn't want on trying to make a real 3D Contra Game for this Actual Generations? i know, since the first 3D Attempts from the PSX, they were a total failure. But it's been almost 30 years without any real Evolution / ReInovation from the Contra Franchise. Metal Gear did it well inside at the 3D transition, but Contra still a messy franchise for over all the years. Total shame. Konami never cared for this franchise in reallity.
Did you play the game? I grew up with the originals and this is a good game. Yeah the graphics are not great but it’s not ugly either and no online co-op is a problem but gameplay is great. These same developers made Contra 4 on DS which is considered a faithful sequel to Contra 3. They were limited with budget and resources by Konami and I have to say they did pretty good with what they have.
Oh okay! You’re in luck, they have a game like that. It’s called Contra rogue corps. It flopped and fans wanted it back to its 2D roots. I’m loving every minute of this game
The old characters didn’t have character. Technically the older games had a more serious tone but with bright colors. It wasn’t washed out greys like Shattered soldier and Neo Contra which I like those games but this was pretty good as well. Also if you don’t like the story you can play arcade mode which also give you an option to play the old school way and it’s hard as nails. Don’t know some you think the average RU-vidr will on anything other than normal anyway.
Yeah.......might be one of those releases where you might be better off waiting for like a 30 or 50 percent off sale. Its not bad-bad, but march is a stacked month for games. I might put this off a bit for dragon's dogma 2. Also feels like wayforward's own contra-like game spidersaurs had a little more effort put into it performance-wise.
Yeah, it does come off as a bit dreamcasty....like bill and lance feels like they could have guest-starred in ready 2 rumble boxing or somethin'. In my opinion hard corps uprising on the 360 and PS3 not only plays a bit better but actually has a better art style......which is wild considering it was a lower budget digital-only release during it's time.
@@RonnRiccoIts wild because this game actually is supposed to be a re-imagining of contra 1, lol. Konami just needs to get a fire lit under their asses....the same way capcom had to put in some effort to get out of their rut period during the 360/PS3 console generation.
Well I don't know what Capcom is doing but they have a plethora of 90's titles that they could revive including PowerStone. Everyone wants a new powerstone and Viewtifiul Joe game@@1MadDogg
@@1MadDoggHow they gonna do that when it’s probably their fault. This is actually a good Contra game for Contra fans. The same devs worked on this made Contra 4 on the DS and it’s regarded as one of the best ones. Konami is the ones that didn’t give them a big enough budget and resources for this game because the last Contra game flopped and the fact that Konami is cheap and don’t care about their IP’s. These dev did a great job with what they had.
@@boxcarchildrent.v.8477 games like this normally have around that many levels. Have you ever played Metal Slug? Pulse it’s not a $60 game. It’s as you say “ wack” when people buy Madden almost every year for $60 and technically the same game from last year just with updated stats and roster. Basically paying full price for a patch or DLC content. Now go and buy this game. Trust me, you play it on hard you won’t be passing the 5 level no time soon.
To be honest with you for a very brief moment I brain-farted and almost just went the wrong way, but any other situation I definitely would have braked or turned wide to avoid a 1st play person attempting to slow down on purpose to catch anyone else in the blue shell blast. I'm just glad my almost mistake turned into a actual good play and worked out in the end, lol.
The big bodies in this game feel really good, the chibi format I think allows for them to really feel bigger than the rest of the cast without feeling detrimental to play as, and yeah get fucked Duke lol.
the game has changed beyond recognition, I remember the first version of the game on Sega mega drive young shooter built-in game was, I love playing zombies ate my neighbors
