It is a glider, motor is used only to gain altitude and then enjoy catching thermals. Trim the glider to fly level with the motor off. A good way to set the correct CG on a glider is to gain altitude, turn off the motor, dive in a 45º angle and let go the elevator stick, if the glider nose goes up it is nose heavy and if the nose goes down it is tail heavy. I know that this sounds as the opposite but it is correct. This happens because the trim int he elevator has to compensate for the incorrect CG.
I have the Seagull models Spacewalker 46 with a Saito 62. I have that plane a long time now and its never been crashed and still flys great. Good luck with your Spacewalker. Its a nice flying plane.
What's better than a 1/3 scale flybaby biplane??? A full scale!! I love my bipe! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jznau9WvA5o.htmlsi=otwzEcr-b2CXJEcR
Of course, I know nothing. But, I was wondering once you get the trim for take off just right, if it is not best to just leave controls in neutral? Marcelo?
Lovely colour scheme, reminds me of a super aeromaster. Happy to see pilots having fun, but those bunnyhops was a tedious affair. Would have been safer to just go for it and get some height. Seems like you really love the glow fuel and the vintage engine...could get big bucks on ebay for that. A nice non 3D flight. Red and yellow are just the colors for me! Cheers.
@@markwest759 thanks watching and your comments. I do love bringing them back to life and in the sky. Happy to get more four stroke glow engines going up.
Love the Carbon Cub SS. 2.1m Foamie, So after watching this video and a few others I decided to go ahead and build this onw with out Barbie. It should cost me around 1.5 to 1.7k for my build but it will be STOL ready. Enjoyed watching your video and hit the like and subscribe.
@@henryairconcepts2999 I haven’t flown the Cougar but have only heard good things about it. I did lean that my CG was just fine on this plane, I just needed a little more expo as I was a bit nervous and twitchy on the thumbs. I have flown this bird a few more times and love the delta wing and high alpha it will do. Much better landings now too. 😁
looks good, never thought to repair one, I crashed mine , but i think it was worse off, broke the fuselage it was a trash bag cleanup 2.5 hp gas 540 edge seagull 70+''? wingspan loved that plane.
Holy Mother, molie, smokes, and crap...Marcello is a wizard AND a saint--amazing work--expertly crashed and expertly fixed...not to mention expertly documented!
I refuse to fly anything but 4 stroke. If I'm waiting money on glow fuel, best run perfect and sound even better. One thing I never missed from the yesteryear of rc was fighting the cheaper brand motors. O.S. is pretty much it. Old O.S. FPs just ran for ever! Get a nice Satio or O.S. 50 size four stroke. Even a 60 size would work well in that model.
Sir I want to become rc plane having 2kg weight I will use edf 70mm- 6s motor then tell me which is suitable battery for this rc plane mAh??? C??? Please reply me sir I request you
@@dustinhiett9594 Thanks for the tips. I saw it hanging from the ceiling at hobby town, it has a os40, servos, tank, no reciever and crusty monokote..I re covered the fuse, the wing is being refinished..sky raider 2 for $ 65..not bad.
Great job! Nice flying. Just got this plane. I have the silver version. It has electric for now but I might replace with Saito 20cc. My hangar 9 Corsair does well with the Saito 20cc
Awesome work brother. You two did great. Love seeing people resurrect wrecks. I pull them out of cans at the field and people think im nuts. Til i bring them back😮..
great video. I have the same plane that I'm converting from electric to gas. (dle 20cc). where did you install the choke servo and vent line from the gas tank. I can't wait to fly it on gas. Thanks
That was AMAZING! Awesome flying to both you and Ivan! Who was flying that crazy EFXtra? I'm sure, next time, the pilot will do a better job of keeping you in view...maybe. Definitely a shit pilot, that guy
If you don't mind me asking what is the total height Trying to see if there's any way To get this to look in scale with six inch g I joe classified action figures for photography thanks and great content BTW
