This channel started as a way for me to share videos of my local train club and Steelers-themed model railroad, but over time shifted more toward documenting the real-life railroading found in Pittsburgh, around the US, and occasionally abroad. You'll find several O loco reviews, O, HO and G layout videos, clips of light rail trolley wraps, standard Class I and Amtrak fare in multiple cities, and the storied shortlines of Pittsburgh and a few other places. I'm not here to make money, this channel is a way for me to share unusual, anachronistic, or occasionally bland trains that I have time to see. If you subscribe to me, I might subscribe to you. I think that’s done by the manufacturer to indicate that it’s a position indicator signal and not a block or absolute signal; it only shows the switch alignment, not whether another train is present. The branch is unsignaled and controlled via requesting track warrants from the dispatcher.
Ah! Millington! I was working as a contractor for Maryland SHA on the project to fix some of the drainage problem in that town. At the crossing you were standing at, catty-corner from you, is a rental property. Starting about 11:00 AM, the tenants stagger out, hang on the porch, drink, smoke and joke until after sundown. The Contractor was repairing the curb and sidewalk in front of the that building, they all just sat or leaned over the railing to watch. I also worked on a Sewage plant in Sudlersville, that you could see the tracks of that line from the job trailer. COVID ruined that sweet job I had, now every job since has been crappy temp position.
My buddy's auto body shop is right by the Federalsburg headquarters, he hates that thing blowing the horn by his window every day but I love going up there to see and hear it.
It’s out in Selbyville on the Snow Hill line, so it’s a ways away and doesn’t run that often. I have a video of it coming out sometime in February or March of 2025, and I may see it again come falls
@@thepozfromoz5166 And I just learned that the GP10 went to Massey today, as both of the RS3Ms used there are out-of-service. There's usually at least one crew running out of there at 7 am on weekdays this time of year.
My son is special needs and he loves trains 🚆🚂🚃🚄🚅🚇🚈🚉🚊🚝🚞🚋🛤 especially Alco's like all of those and he hopes that the former Relco HH660 #603 at 23:52 will be restored to operation if it has not been already.
Insanely Pittsburgh Railways here at Castle Shannon was ripped out as adding do to track gauge issues with the past Pittsburgh & Castle Shannon RR and the Pittsburgh & Southern there was a deadly Railroad war years ago.
Awesome catches not my favorite move from Eustis but love the oddball equipment. The 2021 move was 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) from Fort Eustis, VA returning from Joint Readiness Exercise (JRE) 2021 @ Port Arthur, TX in support of Sea Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise (SEDRE) with 3rd BCT 101st ABN in conjunction with Joint Readiness Training Center 21-10 (Sep-18 thru Oct-3) @ Fort Polk, LA. The 2020 move was 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) from Fort Eustis, VA returning from Joint Readiness Exercise (JRE) 2020 @ Port Arthur, TX in support of Sea Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise (SEDRE) with 25th IBCT Hawaii Army National Guard in conjunction with Joint Readiness Training Center 21-01 (Oct-1 thru Oct-14) @ Fort Polk, LA.

Do you know why AVR-3 is storing tanker cars in the Washington, PA siding I just saw a new batch today do you know why they are doing that during the late Winter or Spring
Will WE still drop off natural gas cars for the AVR to pick up and will AVR take them to the siding for the B&P to take and will the AVR run light back

Very cool & somewhat rear military catch. This was equipment from the 4th Battalion 3rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment (4-3 ADA) (Patriot Missile) @ Fort Sill, OK. They had completed a deployment in January of 2023 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom - Spartan Shield in the United Arab Emirates. My most likely guess is the equipment is heading to Letterkenny Army Depot in PA for heavy repair or upgrade.
Thank you! To answer the question before it was edited, they came down with three units (6002, 6003, 6004). There's a small grade between Bruceton and the Bruceton tunnel, but from there to Glenwood the line follows the river downhill. I didn't do a great job showing it, but they picked up a helper out of Glenwood to handle the Bakerstown grade.
Climate con 2024,, Coal fired power plants will be back, Wind mills can't do it like a good ole coal fired power plant, besides with scrubbers they are super clean. Great looking SD60's ! They look brand new. Sound good also, when in doubt, notch it out! Cool video, Best regards, chuck.
My special needs son agrees with you on that completely! He says that there are ways to use combustion and still protect the environment like using fuel cells for carbon capture and planting more trees 🌳 because they are natural air purifiers and oxygen tanks. He also says that wind turbines spoil the scenery and that the wind doesn't blow nonstop forever so they should not relied on so much.
