John Driskell Hopkins ("Hop") of Zac Brown Band has recently been diagnosed with ALS disease. Currently, a severe deficit exists in funding which is needed to identify and understand the cellular mechanisms and risk factors of ALS. Hop On A Cure aims to lower this deficit by funding research that will make ALS a thing of the past.Hop On A Cure is committed to supporting research to prevent, reverse, and cure ALS while raising awareness, building a compassionate community, and unleashing the healing power of hope. ALS is a neurological disease that affects the nerve cells that control voluntary muscle movement (the muscles we have conscious control over). The disease is progressive, meaning the symptoms get worse over time. Individuals affected lose their strength and the ability to control those voluntary muscle movements which include speaking, eating, mobility, and even breathing. Although the disease can strike at any age, symptoms most commonly develop between the ages of 55 and 75. For unknown reasons, men are more likely than women to develop ALS. The life expectancy of those affected is usually 3 to 5 years from when the symptoms first appear. However, about 10 percent of people with ALS survive for 10 or more years. There is no cure for ALS and no effective treatment to halt or reverse the progression of the disease. Currently, a severe deficit exists in this funding which is needed to identify and understand the cellular mechanisms and risk factors of ALS. By understanding the mechanisms that occur on a cellular level with ALS, scientists can identify exactly what is causing the motor neurons to degenerate which dictates the approach used in developing effective treatments. In order to achieve these goals, and put an end to ALS, there is a great need for funding and continued research. @ZacBrown-iq4ij we were in north Georgia when we seen Zach brown band in concert. Years ago. We seen him at a USO event on a military base also with several other groups.
This album is fantastic! He is real artist in a sea of entertainers and panderers. You can’t even label his genre. It’s whatever the hell he wants and I love it.
57:46 Goddamn is this an amazing version. Their version of free/into the mystic is amazing too. I love these guys. Such a deep talent roster. I remember the first time I heard anything by ZBB was chicken fried at a house party in Northern Ontario Canada. Everyone in the room started singing along, every word, even the "salute the stars and stripes" bit. I was the only one in the room who didn't know the words but I was hooked. Thank you for the music.

bro.. i had 20th row center at pepsi center in denver. i think this album was a fkn masrterpiece. i only hope he will do a theatre type tour down road.

All my childhood songs thank you guys lots of great memories from these songs days on the lake in Montana you guys would play 😂 and I remember always loving the songs that were on, also “free” is another of my favorites you guys are just a great band👏.
