None of my mother had ever . She was fit healthy and an episode of seizure diagnosed her with brain mets . She lost vision . Now she is having radiotherapy .
I’ve been unable to get my doctor in California to give me a CT scan. I just got back from Ensenada Mexico. I got a CT scan for $167. I’m taking it to my doctor here in California. Amazing
What a serious, confusing, and nightmare my wife’s lung cancer has become. After two surgeries, removal of right middle lobe and right upper lobe, and part of lower right lobe (costing over $500k), the Pulmonologist is recommending radiation on one lower sub centimeter nodule, and chemotherapy for three sub centimeter nodules--one in upper left lobe and two in lower left lobe, however, she was told there was no cancer found in any lymph nodes. Radiologist reading for CTs (with and without contrast) and PET/CTs are all over the place. When ask why some sort of computerized reading, as a backup second confirmation of finding of scans wasn’t used, the Pulmonologist comment is “don’t you want a human to read and interpret your scans?”. All the doctors involved are highly rated with top accolades and work with top healthcare providers and at the most respected hospitals. My wife feels fine and is very active and is in good health otherwise. The question is: how can we get a ‘blind’ second opinion on all of this? Something does not seem or feel good about her/our entire ‘serious’ lung cancer health issue. Thanks.
My niece just had a 8mm nodule that turned out to be malignant, removed with the lobectomy. She initially waited 6 months after first scan. The surgery was 10 days ago
I had my lung scan 2 weeks ago. Im so happy i had it done. Mild emphysema...code for copd. I now know more about myself. Your body is your temple . Take care of it.
A CT scan can not really show if you have cancer. The CT can show things that maybe cancer. A PET scan can show cancer and a biopsy can determine the kind of cancer.

That’s how I’ve always thought it should be. I know each person is different, but I’ve seen the treatments be so hard on them. Then they still didn’t live long. My husband had to make that decision, and after a couple of treatments he was ready to be done with that.
I am a 40 years old, I smoke heavily and I choose not to quit. I realize that black people are at high risk for lung cancer but it doesn’t matter to me. There is more to worry about than that which include the economy, climate change and the rising crime rate. All of that is screwing us up and I suffer from depression and anxiety disorder.
I went in for a CT scan on my shoulder, after a fall, my shoulder was ok but they found a small soft mass on the top of my lung. I’m waiting on a lung function test, then we’ll take it from there. I believe a number of lumps and masses, can be found accidentally. I’m grateful in away for that fall, as I only had a few symptoms that I didn’t give any real thought too.
What about spiculated lung nodules? According to some studies up to 90% of spiculated lung nodules are malignant, is this accurate? Does this also apply to nodules under 1cm? Are benign cases really that rare?
yeah, spiculated nodules from 6mm and up are very very souspicius. More info might be good (blood vessels? halo? ganglion reaction? smoking habit?), but they usually go to biopsy
How much radiation does a patient get from a low dose chest CT scan (mSv)? How long does the actual scanning process last? Is it faster for newer machines and thus lower radiation?
If a non-smoker has sufficient radon exposure for decades to have a greater risk of lung cancer than a heavy smoker with no radon exposure, why aren’t we screening them too?
I would like to know of my husband would be a candidate for trials. He has stage4 squamous cell carcinoma that has just moved to three spots on his liver.
I just started immunotherapy with one of the medications listed in this video. The chemo and radiation were helpful with my cancers in other parts of my body, but not the cancer that moved to my lungs. I think immunotherapy is a break-through form of cancer fighting; rather than burn, poison or cut away the cancer, it attempts to help our immune system detect and destroy the tumors, on a cellular level. I am 74, with a history of cancer, chemo and radiation, so I don't know how strong my immune system is at this point. It feels like the doctors have shifted from curing my cancer, to managing it for a while. And that's alright with me. Early detection is important. Do take good care of yourselves.

@Aryan Rathod..Heyy don't worry. Healing is definitely possible. This is my story. My dad had lymphoma and the cancer had spread to his spine, liver, and neck. It looked really bad. Some years back I encountered God when I learnt what God said about healing. With that knowledge I had faith and I encouraged my family too. I think in a year's time the doctor's report was clear. There was no trace of cancer and the doctor was surprised. It has been more than 5 years since that happened. I'm so grateful. And I know that same God who loves me, loves you too. And that same healing is there for you too. Wanted to share a video with you : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gypa1ffuFnw.html . These are the videos that taught me about God's love and healing. Take care❤❤
It feels like I have a egg or golf ball on my back ribs near the bottom of my scapula. When I jog it burns like fire and feels like I've been hit with a hammer on my back. The pain is similar to sprinting the 400meter. When I run it burns only in my left lung towards the back half near the golfball pain. I have had this problem growing for over a month now possibly two.
For about three years, I battled an intermittent cough. It would turn up in winter and disappear by spring, then I would forget about it. But in the autumn of 2014, it came early. In October, my wife, Rita, called a local pulmonologist. The first appointment they could give us was three months away. So we waited. In January 2015, I saw the doctor, who ran several tests, including a chest CT, which revealed a small nodule in my lung’s right lower lobe. A little more than three months later, I had a repeat CT scan. The results came in just before Memorial Day weekend, but at this time was diagnosed of lung cancer and the doctor recommended surgery to remove the nodule. I decided I wanted to get a second opinion. We have friends who were treated and cured at Dr. Harvey herbal world center. They had shared with us the extent of the personalized care and attention they received there even before the cure, so from there I pulled up the website, the sister-in-law of one of those friends called. She was extremely encouraging, so I clicked on the chat feature on the Dr. Harvey's website. After giving them my basic history, I was told what to do and how to get the herbs and was also encourage that I will be cure so I was really marveled. so I did as instructed by consuming the herbs on a daily basic for 21 days behold i was cured but not just that I felt completely strong and the nodule was melt out and the cancer cells was dead. I do not have the words to express our gratitude for the cure I received from Dr. Harvey. I thank God for giving me back my health through Dr. Harvey.
