Unfortunately, the page that allows to edit the info is not available anymore .. :( only the fw update ... found a video teaching how do it editing the update zip files... and, it worked ... but, just do it at your own risk. !
I tried this and when I put goprohero for the password, via the quik app, it says its cant be the password because it needs to have a special character.

Man you are a life saver!! my gshock number 50 is facing the right side, so I set it to number 20 (because number 20 is facing up), then I set everything facing up (same with number 20 direction). Hit the adjust button, ta-daaa it works! thanks for the tutorial bro!
They updated the website and you cant do any of that stuff now, tried following the steps to the best i can but nothing happens, if you can please do a 2023 update?
@@liosew.7796 Hi. I couldn't work out a way. There must be some kind of work around.? Mine is one I bought new 10 years or so ago.. I changed the password and couldn't find the password anywhere. ( I always make a note somewhere.) It's probably on backed up notes saved from an old phone on a hard drive somewhere.. I tried guessing allsorts after not being able to change it, then hit lucky with a guess... Reason I wanted it was for selling.. Once connected it's very laggy though & glitches a bit. Not really great as a live screen as such. I only used to connect it to phone after or on way home from a day out to check and transfer footage/ pics from the camera.. Good luck ....
I have the problem with a 2nd hand go pro 3+ I have followed the instructions and the update is now on the camera but I still have the problem with the user name and password being the previous owners which I don't have. Help please!
