Here you can see 3D assets, turnaround videos, demos, and occasionally something more. I mainly use Blender for modeling and rendering, while the texturing is done in Substance Painter.
Assets can be purchased from CGTrader or ArtStation. CGTrader- www.cgtrader.com/yogev3d ArtStation- yogev.artstation.com/store Fiverr- www.fiverr.com/yogevsharabi
Hi! This tutorial was very helpful, thank you! Is there any way to set up both "child of" constraints so when I want to rotate around front pivot axis and then the second pivot axis the first rotation isn't cancelled?
I'm not sure about doing a tutorial for this particular model, but I might do something similar in the future. Are you interested more in the modeling or the texturing part?
There are several ways to make the wheels rotate. What I found is if I connect the wheel rotate to the movement of the board itself, it moves all 4 wheels, while on occasion, you might want only 2 wheels move (like you might do with some skate tricks).
First make sure you copy the data path of the pivot switch (right click- copy data path). Then in the driver editor, make sure you set the type to Single Property. To paste you simple press CTRL+V. Let me know if that helps.
Thank you. I don't have a lot of experience with character rigging, but I would suggest parenting the root of the character rig to the skateboard rig, or maybe use a driver to connect them.
I am making a skateboard animation and I’m really struggling on the rig, this has helped me more than anything I have found on RU-vid. Do you think you could do a tutorial on how you did this?
Glad to hear it's helping you out. I tried making some Blender tutorials, but they didn't work out well so far. I've been struggling myself when I started working on it. I might try to do a tutorial for rigging this skateboard, as it is not too complicated.
