The tip about Render overrides is just amazing, I was looking for copper and found gold! Does this work for the recorded cache or only for the simulation? Let's say I apply this setting and write the simulation cache, will the cache be written at 400 or 250 resolution?
@RenderRebels
@RenderRebels 17 дней назад
Hi glad you liked it. If you do 400 in render override quality and do simulation cache it will write in 400 only.

@@RenderRebels Yes, this is exactly what I've been looking for for so long! Can you give me a solution to another problem? Is there a way to make these effects affected by volumetric fog? I am forced to use the console command r.HeterogeneousVolumes.MaxTraceDistance 50000000 to make the effect appear at a greater distance, but have noticed that fog or any other effect in the foreground has no effect on Niagara fluids. These effects do not lose clarity, are not blurred or are in any way distorted by smoke or fog at a great distance, which makes them stand out from the environment. Is there a way to solve this problem?

Hi akash yes you can do the simulation it will take some time to simulate but it can be done as you have 16 gb ram. Just make sure you don't take much high grid resolution. This tutorial will be perfect to experiment with your configuration. Also gpu doesn't matter that much in simulation.

very nice tutorial man... thanks a lot... is there a way to make the foam look less like ping pong balls and smaller? and perhaps not too white? also is it possible for the liquid to be less thick?
@RenderRebels
@RenderRebels 2 месяца назад
Hi yeah you can play with the opacity of the foam and also play with the scale curve to get the uneven shape of foam and reduce the size in niagara foam settings. You can check out last 2 videos on how to do that. And yeah if you want your liquid to be less thick just reduce the height of the pool it's default to I think 120 take it to 30 or something that you prefer if you don't know where it is located check my last couple of videos And glad you liked the video

Substrate is really good material wise but when using datasmith workflow when you have vray or corona materials exported substrate doesn't recognise it and it leaves a black material. So if you are creating all materials from scratch than substrate is best

@@RenderRebels my boat was a blueprint and I thing to many parts so made simple mesh and attached it to the main build amd it worked. Do you tutorial on making ocean as from my cinema I have an old ship coming towards an island and need to change colour and waves.
@RenderRebels
@RenderRebels 2 месяца назад
Yeah attaching a mesh simple model shape of base of ship works well I explained that in video so if you don't get good foam that simple mesh can be used. I am experimenting with the ocean as it don't work with fluids so finding a way but yeah I am making a tutorial on wave as we don't have wave function in fluids so need to use the trick.

How is this useful other than a toy boat in a bathtub when the simulation volume is limited?
@RenderRebels
@RenderRebels 2 месяца назад
You can make the grid according to the your scene I have done this only just to showcase how it is done and yeah if you want you can parent the grid niagara fluids to the boat and than add a ocean from water plugin and when boat moves the fluids also moves and rest is ocean just like Houdini. So this can be used in cinematics archviz etc and also in games to some extent where there is requirement of this kind of shot as boat is example you can do many things. And niagara fluids are getting updated as they are still in beta so in coming updates we can add ocean and interact with fluids directly rather than going the above long method. Let's hope for the best

Hi if you want to hide your light I mean turn it off in render add it to sequencer and turn off visibility so it will not cast light hiding it from outliner will only effect viewport not rendering

All these tutorials follow the same formula. Title that indicates camera shake (which isn't untrue, but it's misleading), result that uses sequencer and such. This is already covered better by Epic themselves...
@RenderRebels
@RenderRebels 3 месяца назад
Camera shake is there if you watch the whole video I have shown the camera shake with blueprint so it's not misleading as thumbnail and scene both are same. And about sequencer I added camera shake in it in camera component parameter. And if you see intro it's shown in intro only what is going to be made. So check before telling misleading.
@Derjyn
@Derjyn 2 месяца назад
It's an animated camera shake in sequencer. By misleading, I mean, it's not quite descriptive. It's deceptive in that you leave the "in sequencer" out of the title. There are a ton of these. It's misleading by way of timing: that unnamed popular game in the media right now, that has a "camera shake effect" for added realism. Not all viewers are so simple minded and fall into these misleading clickbaits that ride the wave of popular trends, snap a thumbnail and title their video to pull in interest based on that given popular subject matter. Play it how you want, I'm just pointing out it feels just like the dozens of other videos that came out the same time, with similar titles and thumbnails, that simple used the basic camera shake in sequencer. That's already covered by official sources, well before this trend popped off. I mean no offense, I am just blunt and call out misleading or confusing titles and clickbait when I see a dozen of them. Keep making content, I'm sure you'll strike gold with something original. You put in more work creating content than I do on RU-vid, so I can only offer criticism :)
@RenderRebels
@RenderRebels 2 месяца назад
Thanks for the criticism i will make a note of this and try to improve in each video my aim is to help people and if any of them find it useful my goal is done. I try to teach what i learned and maybe someone will need it and have a video for it. And also i edited the thumbnail also last week so if anyone click than it be only by unreal mentioned and for title i improved in new videos after this. So thanks again.
