WTF did they do to this song? The edit kills the feeling, vibe of the tune. This song is on my mental playlist and I listen to it a lot. Sometimes over and over. This is hard to listen to. 😢 Gary is one of my favorite artists. He’s brilliant.

One of the first 45s I bought (with mom's money, of course). Once I heard Metal on b-side it became my favorite and I played it countless times.

It's amazing that this song was not as big (or bigger) than Cars. It's amazing, my favorite Newman tune. I was just a kid when this came out and could barely wrap my brain around it.... forty years later, that's still the case. --Absolutely brilliant song.
