I was at a local park with my working line GSD, a very fit 90 lbs. She loves to chase big dogs, but always checks with me first. I called out to a wolfhound's owner and he said it was fine. "It won't catch mine anyway." Off my dog went and the wolfhound bounded away and was going around in a wide arc. My GSD long ago worked out that if another dog does that, she will go in a straight line to intercept the other dog. My GSD is just playing and is not aggressive at all, but she intercepted the wolfhound and there was a sudden puff of dust as they collided and rolled on the ground. I was terrified that one of the wolfhound's long legs might have been broken, but they both got up and they looked at each other stupidly. Funniest thing I've ever seen.
My wolfhound didn’t like to be chased by other dogs, he did the chasing, he would just stop and wait for the other dog to run then it was game on for him. ❤
Hey, I’m looking for a SBT puppy. I live in Ga and have been looking on line with no luck. If anyone knows of a good breeder e-mail me. fredfabian75@gmail.com
Congratulations on your Westminster invitation. Hope you are qualified and invited to many more. Even though you never scored best of breed in the hound group, your best was appreciated. Keep working hard. Take care.
You guys are "adorable". It is a lot of "hard work" for real and a "lot of training or practicing". Keep up the good work. Beautiful handlers and beautiful Irish Wolfhounds. Thanks for uplifting my day. It has been a challenging one.
