Still waiting on HPP's Hexbound, which was supposed to be fulfilled in February 2022. The shenanigans they're pulling on the KS campaign page are wild. Will never support them again.
I love the paint job of the clay Golem, but the Leprechaun because it reminds me of a green version of Mung Daal from the amazing world of chowder. I JUST Made it to the eldritch Lich and my god they killed with that mini
Oh there are some good ones! My initial pick was the Blood Champion, but then you unboxed the Eldritch Lich. Although the swarm of Gibberings is pretty darn cool too! Ugh! 😂 I’m gonna go with the Eldritch Lich I think.
08:41 - It1s actually pronounced Pekh. It comes from the german word meaning misfortune, bad luck, etc! Even we in hungary use the word. Yeah they are fey Earth spirits, and they have a magic dance which summons Earth Elementals.
Btw the Vegepygmies are from the Barrier Peaks adventure, it was that original 1E adventure they first appeared in! As cute as they are, the way they reproduce is pretty grisly, the Russet Mold hazard spores can basically infect people and they will eventually die and spawn Vegepygmies, while animals infected turn into Thornies. I think the Grim Champion of Bloodshed is from the Book of Many Things actually. And the Eldritch Lich is from the Speljammer Monstrous Compendium Appendix - this is the first time Wizkids has done a mini from the web supplements (well, second if you count the Crabfolk). I am happy about it, those supplements had a lot of cool Spelljamer and Dragonlance creatures.
This set is way I skipped the plane scape set. The common minis in this set are way more useful in multitudes. And the weird ones are awesome especially as some could be used in Starfinder 2e
This is a really weird Set. It still features many minis that aren't part of the adventure and misses many you need to run the adventure. I remember replacing the whole part of the bullywugs since I had none. But as a set overall it has a very nice mix of minis and I'll get a bosster brick.
Thanks as always Theo! I think my favorite is a toss-up between the Water Weird and the Eldritch Lich. I've always been a fan of the translucent minis and the sculpt on the Water Weird is just excellent. The Eldritch Lich gives me the heebie-jeebies' just looking at it, and I'm sure it would do the same for my players. Great boss monster mini.
There are a few standout minis to me. I'm a big fan of the Minotaur in this set. I hope to run the Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen campaign in the future and having a Minotaur mini would be great if a player wants to run one as their character. The Sabertooth Tiger also caught my eye because my first D&D character could shape change into one.
The Eldritch Litch is my favorite because it is just elegant enough to be a ✨ villain ✨ rather than just a monster, a boss, or a bad guy. That, and it makes for some good nicknames: Eldlitch, Il-litch-id, or tick off a githyanki and call her "The Hotter Vlaakith."
Love me the Chuul. Looks like a set with a disappointing amount of very specific minis that won’t necessarily see a lot of play. Better than the 50th Ammiversary set, and I will buy the usual case, but still.
