Your research is accurate, of course history was rewritten by the victorious. Meridian 59 preceded Ultima Online by a year. Servers allowed about 150 players at a time, so what is the definition of "massively"? FWIW, I played Meridian 59 and it was a first person all pvp game. UO had that horrible floating camera that I still loathe to this day. lol Oh, Meridian 59 is still available to play, but man how games have changed. Love your vids. Very confused how you knew about my "heart boxers". WIth my likeness and now boxers, I'm a lil worried. 🤔
Black Isle didn’t make the first Fallout. I don’t think Tim Cain ever worked for them. But Black Isle was formed around that time and they did make Fallout 2.
Black Isle Studios developed the first Fallout game aswell as Fallout 2. Tim Cain was Producer, designer, lead programmer for the original also, although i dont think he did work FOR Black Isle Studios.
76 was indeed horrible upon release, it is much, much better now. It has had a rebirth due to the show on Amazon. I saw a few days back, that the peak for F76 on Steam had been 32k, it is now 72k following the shows airing. Looks like it can be saved from an early death.
Thank you for the top shelf retrospective and deep dive. One of the best videos on Flashback available. -- I first rented the game for SNES, then got it as a present for Mac OS 7.5, playing on an underpowered machine. The cutscenes were sloooow but amazing nevertheless. If I remember correctly, the resolution was upscaled for Mac, so that was kind of cool. Subscribed!
Hey Chris thanks ever so much! For me I watched a friend play it on the Amiga 1200 when I was around 12. I couldn’t believe it and it’s all I thought about walking home. - we certainly couldn’t afford an Amiga back then but I remember saving from my paper job and selling my Sega to get an Amiga. Ironically I later sold the Amiga to get the SNES 🤣.
Hello jack. Welcome to the RU-vid hellscape. This was a fun lil video. I love learning about entertainment before my time. A bit dry but you’ll have plenty of time to develop your character. Can’t wait to see what you accomplish over your career. I’ll be watching. Good luck brother!!!
I have played so many games, yet I haven't seen this game before. I don't think it was ever famous. It is interesting though, it reminds me of that OG prince of persia game.
Aww crap! How the heck did I miss that!? I’m a moron and was in such a hurry to get my first video out. To be fair, I’ll need to take a mulligan on this one and will redo this video later on. Thanks for letting me know 👍🏻
@@bitmap_jack I missed it too, I saw it 2nd hand in CEX only a few weeks ago and I was like "there's a new double dragon game?" The reviews have been good and I'm looking at getting it soon, even had FREE DLC.
Been playing the various Double Dragon games for years, however I'd never even saw footage of the Double Dragon 3 arcade game. Good video, just subbed!
Thanks! I really appreciate it. It’s one of my favourite old school games. I’ve got a long list of games to cover so hopefully you’ll enjoy them too. Have a great weekend 👍🏻
