Don't forget to like and share! :) Answer: 2 - Aftershave lotions 3 - Cough syrups 5 - Mouthwashes 6 - Vinegar Rationale: Disulfiram is an alcohol deterrent that may be prescribed for alcohol dependence. This medication sensitizes the client to alcohol so that a disulfiram-alcohol reaction occurs if alcohol is ingested. The client must abstain from alcohol for at least 12 hours before administering the initial dose. Its adverse effects usually begin within several minutes to 0.5 hours after consuming alcohol and may last 0.5 to 2 hours. A client who ingests even small amounts of alcohol may experience flushed skin, pounding headache, weakness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, chest pain, dyspnea, and hypotension. If a large amount of alcohol is consumed, the reaction can lead to respiratory and cardiac collapse, unconsciousness, convulsions, and even death. Thus, while on this medication, the nurse should instruct the client to avoid using substances that contain alcohol, such as cough medicines, rubbing compounds, vinegar, mouthwashes, and aftershave lotions. The client must need to read the labels of all the products.

Don't forget to like and share! :) Answer: 3 - Weight that is below the 5th percentile of the growth chart Rationale: Failure to thrive is a term applied to an infant not growing at an acceptable rate. One of the acceptable parameters for identifying whether the growth rate is acceptable is to determine how the infant’s weight compares to the weights of other infants the same age. If the infant’s weight falls below the 5th percentile, the infant is considered to fail to thrive. Other manifestations of failure to thrive include eating disorders and developmental retardation. 1), 2), and 4) are not associated with failure to thrive.

Feeling so defeated: (i studied hard all week, stayed up until 4 am. Woke up at 7 and worked until 4. Created a practice test with. Did it. Checked my answers. Went back and analyzed what i did wrong. All for Nclex :(i think that i was just so tired by the end of it all that i just wanted to be done. I'm hopeful that i can bounce back but right now I just feel like crying💔💔😢😭😔😔💔😞😔💔
I feel your frustration. The feeling of failing after putting in hours of work is heartbreaking. I go for 2nd attempt next week. I'm scared as hell. But i will not let this test win, i know am capable
Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.
Thanks for this video, it pains me that after studding so hard I end up failing 💔😪, I've taken the exams for the 4th time now and still didn't succeed, i wonder how those who succeeded did it.

Don't forget to like and share! :) Answer: 1 - Vitamin K Rationale: 1- The nurse should question the prescription of vitamin K, a fat-soluble vitamin usually given as an antidote to reverse the effect of warfarin. The client’s coagulation studies are in the therapeutic range (aPTT - 46 to 70 seconds; INR - 2 to 3). 2) Epoetin Alfa is given to treat anemia associated with chronic renal failure. 3) Warfarin is used for long-term anticoagulation before continuous heparin infusion is discontinued. 4) Clients with chronic renal failure usually have increased serum potassium levels due to the inability of the kidney to excrete excess potassium; thus, sodium polystyrene sulfonate is usually prescribed to reduce elevated serum potassium levels.

Does anyone know how to get the license verification from New York? It allows you to order one by its asking TO WHO you want it sent to...but do you send it to yourself or Cali BON? What is the address you're supposed to use to be sent to? Because New York does NOT use Nursys.

Don't forget to like and share! :) RATIONALE: Rapid fluid resuscitation is critical for cardiovascular integrity regardless of the client's medical history. Profound intravascular depletion requires aggressive fluid replacement. A usual fluid replacement protocol is 6 L of fluid over the first 12 hours, with more fluid to follow over the next 24 hours. Commonly prescribed IV fluids include dextran (in cases of hypovolemic shock), isotonic standard saline solution, and hypotonic half-normal saline solution when the client’s condition is stabilized. Thank you for this interview. Nakaka inspire po kayo Ma'am Joanne super humble despite sa mga achievements niyo po... Na feel ko po yung pain sa pag struggle niyo with your husband na sana sya yung number 1 supporter nyo. But, instead forever mag mukmok you kept your mindset straight and focus sa reasons why you continue to pursue nursing... Newly PHRN here, and currently studying also for NCLEX while waiting for my ATT. Praying for the smooth journey too 🙏. Again, thank you IPASS and thank you maam Joanne for this inspiring testimony.
