6:57 I really like to hear doves…coo..they look so friendly and caring in what they say and how they look around. Such a great temperament they seem to have. I start going coo coo when I hear them.
People seem to believe the myths about racoons eating cats. it happens, but the most deadly threat to a cat is another cat. Then, coyotes, then dogs (who are willing and big enough), then racoons. Cats are ferocious well beyond their 10lb weight class, and the strongest predators on earth, pound for pound. They have five different sets of weapons and use all of them in a fight. That raccoon was likely nursing slashes from the cat's the powerful hind legs, which can disembowel their opponents if they don't get out of the clutch. Freely dripping blood was visible in the night vision spectrum. Cats will often take the inferior position on their backs to increase the power and leverage of their raking kicks, while bear hugging the other animal with their strong front arms and claws and at the same time biting down hard on whatever is in reach. I suspect that the limp was because that is where the raccoon grabbed from behind - maybe near the hip joint, perhaps. I'm sure the cat got bit good and hard, and probably thrashed, but few raccoons can take a cat down without a serious set of reminders of the hazards incvolved. If the cat is a big one, even fewer.
