ChiBang is not available to make reservations prior to your sailing. However, once onboard you can make same day reservations during the evening by requesting a table using the carnival Hub app.
Thank you for watching and the comment. Smoking is permitted outdoor at the Marina Bar on Deck 8 (starboard side, midship). Per Carnival smoking is also permitted in a designated area on Deck 17 (starboard side, aft). Per Carnival: Jubilee Casino: There is no smoking in the casino unless seated and playing; it is not allowed at the casino bar or in the entire area when closed. Smoking is not permitted in the section of the casino designated as non-smoking at any time.
For those willing to put in the research, Galveston also has hotels that allow you to park for the duration of your cruise and offer shuttle service to and from port. I find that the best option for avoiding the stress and traffic!
It wasn’t officially categorized as an extended balcony when booking, but we took a gamble after looking at the deck layout and noticing the balcony looked larger.
@@rudelynbaroro392 you can only prebook or reserve the specialty restaurants prior to boarding. Those are typically the Steakhouse, Chefs Table, Rudi’s, Bonsai Teppanyaki, Ji Ji Asian, Il Viaggio, Cooking Classes, and Thing 1 & 2 breakfast. For the remaining restaurants, after you board the ship, you can use the ship app daily (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) to add your group to the restaurants wait list. Once your table is ready the app with notify you and you can head to the restaurant. You can also check with the hostess to see if they can add you to the restaurants wait list to be seated. You don’t have to use the online wait list for all restaurants, but the popular locations can book up that night so you may have to wait longer if you don’t use the online wait list.
Hi Dan! No you did not. I learned about Royal’s new Cruise pier while I was editing the video after I recorded the footage. While we were in Galveston I was unaware of the new pier. When I head back to Galveston I’ll make sure it’s to grab footage.
Extremely thorough video. This has helped prepare us for our upcoming trip next week. One question I have that I can't seem to get answered is whether the scootaround location is inside or outside the terminal drop off area? Thanks again for all the information.

I checked the website and it states the following; “Scootaround can arrange a Galveston scooter rental or wheelchair rental for you and your family. A mobility scooter rental can help make your trip more pleasant, productive, and worry-free. We’ll deliver the scooter or wheelchair directly to your hotel, Airbnb, residence, or cruise ship port, wherever you are in the Galveston area. Our equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to each rental. When placing the order, you’ll be asked to select a drop-off and pick-up time that works with your schedule. We offer free delivery to cruise ships and the Port of Galveston. There may be a delivery fee for non-cruise rentals delivered to Galveston Island. When the rental is complete, we’ll pick up the device from wherever you were asked to leave it, whether that’s the hotel front desk or cruise port.” I have an inquiry out to the company about your question and once I hear back I can follow back up with you.
@@eddieread9813 scootaround quickly responded back and stated the following “Each cruise line has their own specific rules for pick up and return at each port. I will be able to give you an accurate answer if you are able to provide the cruise line.” I’d recommend reaching out to them directly and they can provide you with additional details.
@@GabbyChristin09 Hello Gabby, thanks for the additional information. FIL was the one to contact Scootaround when placing the booking. From what we were told he didn't give us a defined time to pick up, just that it would be there upon arrival. We will be in Galveston fairly early Saturday, hopefully depending on traffic for our trip on the Jubilee this Saturday. We have an early pick up in Houston from our hotel so hopeful we will be at the port around 9:00 a.m or so. This should give us time to figure it out before our 10:30 check in time. Thanks for the help and information.
Hi @deborahmaddry3615 last time we stayed at Pop the busses did not travel to HS or Epcot since the Skyliner provides transportation to those parks. The only exceptions is if the Skyliner is down.

Hi @TodayFungus and @pher5925. Your room steward will automatically turn the sofa into a bed. We've sailed twice with three people in a room and each room steward would keep the sofa in the sofa bed confirmation throughout the duration of the cruise. They would also tidy the sheets each morning. I do have to admit, the sofa bed is not the most comfortable for adults and I actually found that sleeping on the sofa itself, with a sheet, was more comfortable.
