great video man! p.s. the gopro overheating and shutting off with 30% battery life left is exactly why i just made the switch to the dji action 4. highly recomend...
i finally got to get out on the water n use the shirt you sent me. long sleeves and a hoody in the blistering sun is a game changer! thanks again bro!!
Forget the snapper season, you and Brandy are living the good life today! AC and tacos rock! I keep thinking ya'll moved to Florida already. Peace to you brother Donnie. 🌞😎🤙
That was exciting! No skunk on the boat today. Try a weight next time instead of that cork and yes drop right beside the boat like when you caught the shark. Good job Captain. 👏👏
Hey man. If I could make a suggestion to ya about sheepshead fishing you want to be right on top of that structure. Like litterally park directly beside those posts or a bridge(with some bumpers out) or whatever structure you are fishing. You want to drop vertically right on top of em as they constantly swim down deep back and forth near structure. I use a small weight(depending on the current 1-2 oz usually) with maybe a 6-8 inch leader of mono below it and a tiny circle hook(J hooks work to but you have to set the hook on em). Let it drop to the bottom and reel your weight up about an inch from the bottom. Just drop on em and leave it. They will come. I like fiddler crabs the best or shrimp but oyster meat works great too. Never had much luck with artificials for sheepshead myself. The cast and retrieve is working the top foot or two of water as you are reeling in right after you cast and it needs time to get down low. Problem is if you aren't verticle dropping around structure you can get hung often. If fishing a bridge bring a flathead shovel and scrape off some barnacles and it's like a dinner bell to them. Set your drag tight and hold on! The way you were casting and retrieving is great for catching trout though in 8-12 feet of water. Give the bait some time to work the whole water column buddy. I hope you don't mind me offering a little advice. It's a tricky fishery but some dang fine table fare for sure. I'm pulling for ya man. I always love watching your dedication to the craft. Another good video. Go get em my friend. 😎🤙
I can catch fish but there is no way I could pull off that job successfully. I am seriously impressed buddy! My dad wasn't around to teach me how to fix a thing. Getting er done!!! 👏👏 I caught 5 red drum and a chopper blue this past weekend. They are starting to bite in Eastern NC. Thanks for the fantastic video. Maybe one day I will learn how to do all this and give it a go myself. Take care Donnie. 😎🤙
I'm still rewatching your old Dory videos. I have two questions brother. Did you just mount a camera to the bow rail or was it on an extended mount like a selfie stick? I was also curious if the air that got in the motor was from running one of your tanks dry before switching over to the second tank? Thanks Captain Donnie. 😎🤙
I had a rod holder on the bow rail and put a tripod handle in it! The air was from a failed gasket on the carbs. The fix was to rebuild the carbs and replace gaskets.
@@kentuckyfriedfishing yeah my cousins been wanting me to go with him down there but havnt been able to put our 2 schedules together yet. good video bro!
Captain Donnie that is a beautiful lake brother. Try some verticle jigging with a 1 1/6oz or 1 1/32oz Bobby Garland jig or reel in SUPER SLOW under that slip cork. Just a suggestion buddy. 👍 Let the good times roll man. I can't believe no one is taking advantage of your free reel give away. These slackers need to tighten up. Lol. Glad to see ya'll back on the water in your happy place but I was happier to see you get the skunk off the boat. God bless ya'll man. Always happy when you post. You have always been a real fishing channel to me my brother. The best is yet to come!!! 😎🤙
Not a clue. I went the day it was supposed to be stocked and never saw a truck arrive. I’ve seen a lot of people fishing, I’ve only seen 1 person pull a fish from it. Going to try early morning one day next week to see if time of day affects the bite.
You don't have to apologize brother. No one is gonna be quicker than ole Captain Clark as I'm always waiting on your next video to drop and I work odd hours.... I'm also not on IG. 😂 Fishing freshwater after the action in Florida is tough brother. No doubt. Hope someone enjoys the gear. No hints from this guy here. 😁🏆Edit: Always entertaining to watch these. I like that you show all aspects of fishing and don't edit our the tough trips too. Keep at it! Your channel will take off one day soon. Don't forget us little people when it does. 🤙
Ya'll had a very nice trip to Florida. I've been rocking that hoodie you sent me brother. Really nice early in the morning and it keeps the sun off me quite well. Thanks for the new video. I'm watching now. Hope ya have a good week brother. 😎🤙
Do you ever open the vent in the cap so the engine will run better. The fuel will not go into the engine so easily once it draws a vacuum in the tank. Also, if you put a bottle of carb cleaner in your tank, it will help with deposits in carb. Especially if you run ethanol fuel. Hondas are known to gum up. I have two of them. About every 100 hours, replace spark plugs. My motors are 1994 , 30 years of running in cocoa,fl.
@kentuckyfriedfishing I was talking about your small spare motor. Built-in tanks always have vents. There is a knob on gas cap on your little kicker.. have fun in your c- dory. I like a cabin on a boat, nothing worse than being out. Have a good day, and it rains. Wow, miserable being wet.
I’d like to see a short or a long showing the enclosure that hold your solar panels! Need some ideas on a self built on my Dory. Like seeing the Dory videos!
Email me at donny@kentuckyfriedfishing.com, I’ll send you the photos I have…. The C Dory has been sold so I am glad you’ve enjoyed the times we had on it!
