Lol, You need to see it in the spring! When you are scared, mtry innitiating your first turn with a stem christie. Don't go over the moguls, but kind of bump in to them then make your next turn as you bump into it.
BRILLIANT!! Love this! Did same run with my mate on Tuesday😅 felt exactly the same & our conversation was strikingly similar. Easily the worst/most difficult run I've ever done! Never again! Well done guys & thanks for sharing 🤣😅😆🙈🙈
I have just ordered one of these bikes, I am picking it up tomorrow and hey we have snow lol. how lang did this bike last you before you had to replace it? Was the battery as good as they say? This is my first E bike so not sure what to expect to be honest
The battery doesn't make any difference to the power output of the bike it's no different to a fuel tank. Obviously more powerful motors with a higher torque need bigger batteries.
Hello - on Halfords display model the back wheel doesn't spin half as freely as the front wheel does. It's as if the brakes are rubbing? The assistant says this is normal because of the motor, but on my current 20" folding Ebike - also with rear hub motor - the back wheel spins as freely as the front. How does your Crossfire's back wheel perform?
Quite disappointed with the range on modern ebikes! Back in the day I had one of the first ebikes around. (shiny aluminium frame and used a lead acid battery system) The range on your bike isn't much more than the old technology achieved. I'm seriously considering an ebike but until the range improves (for a fair price) I will not be investing. Things still need to change with battery technology..
You can get many bikes with bigger batteries but you have to shop around. I have a 20inch fat tyre bike with 36v 16ah=576wh that's just about enough for me. I did 24 miles (using highest assist with throttle) and still had more than 40% battery left. Could easily do 35-40 miles on amid power assist at 14-15mph (top speed is 19-20mph).
A different seat is a MUST BUY for everyone. The original one is so hard its crazy. I took mine across a very flat track for about 10 miles and I could feel every single bump. (and couldn't ride next day due to sore arse😅) New gel seat is much better, and I bought some boxers with a padded butt for more agressive trails
A wet and windy Sunday what a day to test ride a bike but hey I’ve done it , so I test road the Halfords Carrera Subway Ebike , I covered 28 miles from Chesterfield to Darnall in Sheffield and back the wind was horrendous and I got soaked , if the bike could operate in that it could operate in anything , I was’nt much quicker than if I was on my Carrera Zelos road bike but the hills were quite tolerable and considering I was cycling into the wind coming up Prince of Wales Road in Sheffield at 15 mph and not 5mph like I would have on a non electric makes up for the drag you get over 15.5 mph, they claim the range is 40 miles which shows with 5 bars on the display and battery , the power modes are eco, tour, sport and turbo which I used all of them and I was impressed 28 miles in wind and rain up steep hills and 2 bars left so on the bike I tested would do 40 miles easily , now shall I buy one 😃
Very helpful video I’m looking at getting Carrera Subway to use on my work commute from Chesterfield to Sheffield 30 mile round trip , 40 max distance on battery according to Halfords any how I’m having a test ride tomorrow and I’m going to do the commute pretty much , I can always recharge at work if the distance is a little far I’ll post up my findings , can’t wait 😃
Fantastic bike but I would personally like a bit more power and longevity if it was possible, but that is going off road up some beaten tracks. Other than that on the road it is amazing
Just bought my first vengeance e bike , I found the video useful but would have preferred the commentary distance in miles as road distance in the uk is recorded in mph and not kilometres . 😎
Seems like a disappointing range capability, although it was a hilly ride you have undertaken. Also, the battery range can be extended if you are a fitter rider and can provide more pedaling power. This reduces the power demand from the motor and so uses less electricity from the battery.
Got the Vengeance ebike today from Halfords, having watched your review multiple times before I finally decided to go for it. I hope I'd enjoy it. Thanks Willy
@@pufferwilly2898 Used the bike daily for almost a week now. Excited the display is OLED but disappointed the walk mode isn't available (just Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo modes, no walkmode button below). Have to drag 23kg up and through the door whenever I'm home. The motor performance is ok and Turbo mode uphill is great despite the speedy drain effect it has on the battery. I'm thinking of getting a battery cover incase I get caught in Dublin rain someday
@@somtombanefo8749 i have the new model carrera vengence ebike.it does have walk mode just hold down mode button for a few seconds and it gos into walk mode.
@@S161064 Thanks for the heads-up. Just tried this morning and it seems holding down my lower speed button enters walk mode. The walk mode was damn too fast for me though. I'd only use it to walk up steps or move the bike up through an elevated door.
Modern electric bikes are not viable for they range is absolutely appalling, I have one and if I pedal it over 50% of the time I can get 36 miles if I don't it's about 10 miles and I do not believe the technology is not there to get great mileages out of electric bikes it's just been withheld until they drain the last drop of oil out of the planet then you'll see that technology just go ballistic. you'll be getting 100+ miles out your battery............. because it's all about money for the rich...... Why can't our politicians protect our environment........... because they can't figure a way of making money out of protecting the environment.
Mate all I can say electric changing gear it's a 60 k bike and the 12512 save why can't you cycle instead the boy is is a Claire at just makes me happy love you
I'm glad to see you purchased a womans e-bike so have i, i'm a 72 year old male and find the womans size a perfect fit for me its the Carrera Crossfuse 17 inch frame, i think anyone male or female should choose a bike to suit there size i have very short legs and find the mens version of many bikes are just too high on the crossbar height for me, anyway many thanks for the video keep them coming
Ahhh memories! This was my first ebike back in early 2018. There's been 2 model updates since, The 2019 model which came with a slightly better display, and the 2020 model which has come with the same suntour motor (not display) as the Crossfire/Vulcan and a slightly different design. I liked this bike, But the battery life was pretty poor. it was good for a first dip! I have a 2.4K Haibike now which is a massive difference lol
Hi great video how did you fit the bigger seat i just ordered this bike and i will be changing the seat to same one you put on yours looks more comfortable
i recommend this bike a lot its really good i recommend getting tubeless tiers as well. i carry 2 batterys on me 1 for getting around and the other one for fun and speed haha.
I can't find any specs for the motor on this bike. From watching this video, it seems that the motor is less than 250 Watts nominal. I wouldn't buy something that is this under powered.
@@luc1ferblack . There will always be ass holes, idiots and dangerous drivers. Does that mean everyone else has to suffer with restrictive laws because if it.
Whats the point of buying an electric bike if you have to pedal it, and the range on most of them is crap unless you spend about 2 grand, what happens to the electrics if it rains which it does in this country UK quite often, why not have a twist accelerator instead of pedalling but i suppose it's these crappy laws we have in the uk where cyclists can't be doing over 15mph on an "E Bike" , the government want us all to go green but have legislation that makes these bikes a joke...Rant over !!!!
I use mine mostly to get to work and I find it really great fun.I bought this as my car was costing me a fortune to run but now I save a lot of money and use the occasional Uber or Taxi. When I arrive at work I'm not in the least bit sweaty which is brilliant, also I cycled to work in a very high wind the other day absolutely no bother at all it had plenty of power.I frequently pass other cyclists and feel a little smirk on my face as they on the bridge steep upward route struggle and I just saunter past.😊
"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is set to begin shooting in this resort next month, as well as in nearby Kelowna and in the Vancouver area.
