Give me Padres vs Cubs at Wrigley brawl, commentary by Harry Caray, on 7/7/1984 for real punches. Special appearance by The Hawk when the cobwebs cleared and he chased Eric Show.

I remember in 1982, as a kid, I saw on TV where Jim Rice ran into the second row of the stands to help a young boy who was nailed by a foul ball...he could tell the boy was really hurt so he carried the boy down to the field so they could take him to the dugout for medical help. I've always had a lot of respect for him.
Each time the Vikes were soundly beaten by younger, bigger, more athletic teams...teams with better game plans and in-game adjustments. That's the painful truth. TBH, the team that had the best chance of winning the SB was the 2009 team. They would've handled the Colts. And NO...the 75 team would've gotten crushed by the Steelers again in SB10, had they made it.
Played his entire MLB Career from 1974 to 1989 with the Red Sox. There were MLB Teams he could have left the Red Sox for and won a World Series Ring with but he didn't. I respect a Player for his loyalty to the Red Sox or the same Team his whole MLB Career the most. I'm a Yankees Fan and I'm even thinking watching this WTF would some idiot at Yankee Stadium want to grab and keep a most bitter disliked Team rival Red Sox Player's Baseball Cap?
That Ron Hassey Homerun was like the shot heard around NYC. I thought that would spark the Yankees that season but they fell short the last weekend of the season to the Blue Jays. Still a great season of baseball in NY with the Mets just falling short behind the cardinals in the NL East
I went to dozens of games in the 80s in the upper deck. While profanity was quite common, the less filling to fu and eat sh chant started in the 84 season. Remember being up there and hearing it for the 1st time. It continued into 85 when Campbell acted. I don't remember hearing the chant in 86.
My Dad and I had season tickets to the ‘77-78 Red Sox and those teams if my youth were incredible to watch. I remember a game in which Rice hit a foul ball that hit a woman in the stands and Rice jumped over the short wall, climbed up to the woman and carried her back to the field so she could get the immediate medical attention she needed. Pretty amazing.
Seriously, as the commentator said, what on earth are they congratulating him about??? Like, nice job you know how to grab a defenseless guy and throw him to the ground after the play is over. WAHOO!
Kevin Harlan: “Ok, Bill now look into your crystal ball. Analyze your future multiple drug and weapons arrest coming up in 2007.” Bill Maas: “Well, wait… what?”
Never saw Dewey showboat in his entire career. All business. He learned from Yaz and Lynn and Rice. Those guys did not showboat at all. Between the lines they were extremely respectful.
Growing up as a non-Texan Cowboys fan who hated the Redskins I can honestly say it ticks me off that they changed their names and look. Absolutely awful. If they ever bring it back I will root for them.
