Golden pompeno , the goto fish easily for those with small kids. Hardly any bones hence easy for kids to eat themselves. tastes great with curry and fry. Only downside is, its only available as farm grown mostly and you can literally see the steroids fed and so they look bulky. I would love to try bronzini and red grouper if they are wild caught

I just made this recipe today, it came out amazing. I wasn’t sure which “green chili” to use so I used a Serrano pepper and it gave it the perfect spicy kick.
I loved this recipe, I did try the baking version, my partner loved it when I grilled it. I think, the baking version here is more juicy, but the grill version is crispy and more tasty. ❤
Hi Shri good info but I couldn't find any of these fishes in san diego market if you want to buy fresh caught fish from the ocean or lakes. i am looking for something that is not farm raised as well as low mercury content so basically ocean fish or fresh water fish (they both are not treated with antibiotics i believe whereas farm raised ones are). Could you suggest me something from this list here which is good for indian fish kulambu or fry. thanks. Nice recipe!, well executed, I would like to add a tip to the recipe, after you slice the egg plant, sprinkle some salt on each slice and leave it for 5-10 mins, you will see the eggplant leaves water, blot in on a tissue and then continue the process, because eggplant can become rubbery sometimes.
