Not trying to take away from this song because it's a great song and I love Green Day but the fact you have to ruin it with Reverb and slowing it down like what Gen Z does to ruin songs. Is just flat out disrespectful, Billie made this song to express himself about a breakup not for someone to turn it into a horrible copy that was Gen Z-ifiied.

@@TherapyPlsOFFICIAL they make sped up and slowed versions of songs because a certain tune can actually affect the mood upon the song, slowed gives it a more depressing feeling if that makes any sense, and to the fact this song itself is somewhat sad but its more of a sarcastic tune, wishing the best for his ex in sarcasm, despite him feeling upset about it.
as someone who struggles with bipolar depression, which is what the medication lithium is used for, this song perfectly sums up the stages you go through. firstly starting off happy, thinking maybe your the only friend you need because you've pushed everyone away, "I'm so happy, cause today I found my friends there in my head." Then comes the self-deprecation but trying to laugh it off like you don't mean what you say, "I'm so ugly but thats okay so are you! haha.." Then the loneliness where your avoidance backfires on you, and you feel the compulsive need to do something crazy and erratic to distract yourself from the pain, "I'm so lonely, thats okay I shaved my head. And I'm not sad." Then the questioning whether your the problem, whether your self-destructive behavior led to all the things being said about you. "And just maybe, I'm too blame for all I've heard, but I'm not sure." I take the excited line as a line alluding to suicide, or just a new life, that one is up for interpretation much like the rest of the song. Then the "I'm so horny" is the hypersexual tendencies that some get when struggling with BPD. And finally, the ending, its pretty obvious to me its about right when you've reached your breaking point and your trying hard to fight it. Telling yourself, "I like being alone" hence the, "I like it I'm not gonna crack." The "I miss you", is missing all the people you've lost because of this, the "I love you", goes hand in hand with the I miss you, you love the people around you and you don't mean to hurt them. "I killed you" Is when you think you've won, when your okay for a while, then it all comes back again. thank you for coming to my BPD talk lol.
damn this slow version is a little sadder than to feel and you know what this song wants to go through later like i think this version is kinda sad but it's a nice version of the song
