Adam you probably found this by now, it's been 2 years since your post, FYI, I found the information you asked at 1:54 of this great video made by a very well qualified CAP officer! I am doing a self study course on the G1000 myself and as someone that flew CAP sorties in the late 1970's in N5672G a CAP C150 with the old steam gauges, I am just in awe of the modern capabilities of the Garmin G1000 and in a C172 wow is all I can say!! Good job Florida Wing-CAP!!!
